I agree with Empress, you could even make a new version of this mod where it applies to every mod in case you want to keep this one

@Jhoshua Wolfox I deleted the Yama.txt inside the VPK file and now all campaigns have this OST. It's ok if you don't replace all music, but at least doing that simple change can make a lot of people happy.

I used to use it everywhere and it worked just fine the way it did, but I suppose it’s only for a specific map now.

Oh, are you a frequent user? I didn't realize people were using it outside of Yama. An all campaigns version would cover all Zombie Combat soundtracks of the game but this one only covers the Generic L4d2 soundtracks. Changing and remaking all assets would take too much time, but still, i can make a freed version

Most of it should work with L4D1 Campaigns although some sound files were exclusive to L4D2, when i've made this i've used all L4D2 Sound files.

If i remember correctly i've built this mod to work with the Custom Campaign Yama exclusively.

does this applies on L4D1 campaigns as well?

Well i'm glad you think that, i liked the campaign so much i thought it really needed a custom set of music.

Works incredibly well with yama.

this reminds me of call of duty world at war on the american campaign levels.

Btw I have to ask, do the Japanese survivors have anything unique besides the voices and appearance? I think I heard somewhere they have their own uh... animation rig(?) like how each survivor has their own unique stance like Coach fires from the hip and Bill aims down sights etc.

Yeah I myself moved on from my weeb stage years ago (I still like anime of course), I love Japan's history and it's culture especially it's samurai warriors if you couldn't tell lol. Shame people like to shit on the country because "ew anime" which is just sad.

Yeah, it's nice to see people salvaging it and putting the assets to use. I mean, these 8 Japanese characters are official L4D survivors so only makes sense to bring them back since every other mod is just a skin or voiceline pack that don't work lorewise because they're not from a zombie game.

Japanese Culture it's actually very intriguing

The Arcade Version was a great occasion for me.
Didn't feel like letting it go to waste and actually do something with it.
That's when the idea to bring Left 4 Dead to Japan came to me, the Survivors with Japanese Voice lines were a huge starting point, then all it needed was a world for them to work in.

Also as you can see from my username I'm an enthusiast of Japanese culture heh.

Funny I also find out about the Japanese arcade version of Left 4 Dead like a few months ago and suddenly, there's all these mods trying to bring it back or make Left 4 Dead into the arcade version. I'm not complaining though, I'd like to see something new considering it's the only other version of L4D with characters that react to the world they're in.

It's nice to see someone actually make an entire Japanese style music overhaul for the music, not just anime music and I feel if there was a Japanese L4D2 game it would sound like this. Would likely be some anime stuff though cause it's Japan but this feels more down to Earth then something like Metal Gear music blasting lmao

Strawhatz - Koto is my favourite, i'm guessing it's telling the story of a puppet master and it's minions (at least thats what it looked like) and its mixed with modern electronic music.
For that i felt it was very fitting for the setting of Left4Dead and Japan and tried to use it as much as possible.

Very nice, curious but what music did you use? I love intense Japanese music like this but it's quite hard to find online especially ones with heavy and fast percussion.
