1) Release the source so those with spare time can get this working again. Otherwise, the people's only choice is to spam the author.
2) Put a big warning at the top of the description that says "deprecated" or "no longer working".

We are all still waiting for update
The best work around is to enable it for a fresh career start. Pick or customize the career you want to start. Once in the Leopard save your game, quit, disable the mod and restart your game. When you load in everything should work properly.
I've noticed that after the DLC"Shadow of Kerensky" update, this mod causes to crash when entering the mission preparation screen after accepted the contract.
But it has no problem in "Instant Action" mode.
It is good to use with last DLC?
I have see some video off it done to for example have a starting lance consisting off only a legendary mech variant for all 4 mech
