I don't know about others experience with this mod. I find this mod does work because in the vanilla game, one engine part repairs so little, though with this mod and maxed mechanic skill, I can repair the engine up like 60% with one engine part rather than repairing like less than 10% with one engine part without this mod.

@Turbotowns it doesn't change any mechanic of the game, you just fix your car like you always do but instead of repairing 1% per skill level it will repair 10%

Level 10 mechanic being able to fix a car just by taking and replacing the engine is amazing, kinda represent what the god mechanic would be capable of. SInce and amateur is level 1, and worker 3. Lv 10 mechanic should be able to make the car drivable without wheels

This and his other mod essentially allows a player to spawn infinite engine parts. A 100% engine yields 10 parts, the medium mod allows for 25% repair per part, the easy 50% meaning you only need 2-4 parts to bring the engine back up to 100% and repeat as desired to net 6-8 parts per cycle out of thin air. These are bad mods.

Thanks for the clarification. As it doesn't seem to be so, would you consider revising your code so as to not use a literal 10% and instead use a sandbox variable with lower and upper limits people can select from to tailor the amount to their desired number? Vanilla repairs are puny but this is leaning towards the extreme in the other direction. I can't implement what's effectively a x10 boost to engine repairs. x5? Now I'm interested, but someone else may favor x2 or x7, don't limit your mod's ability by using literals, use the sandbox, that's what it's for. Wish you luck in your modding. ;)

If have 10 in mechanic and the required skill level of the heavy duty is 5 (or more) you will get max 50% repair per part that's a hard limit.

Am I reading the description correctly? A lvl 10 mechanic would repair 60% per part on heavy-duty for example?

Todays update somehow broke this mod. As long as it is active I can't connect cars and other cars/trailers with each other.

If this is added to an early 1990's DeLorean and I wait till a typical Zomboid summer lightning storm hits and manage to channel 1.21 gigawatts (jigga or gig-a, both ways to pronounce it are correct, per the linguistic origins of the prefix) electricity into the car with this mod -- can I travel Back to the Future before the Knox Event happens and stop the zambo's before they are created?? Keep on survivin'!

seconded for 2-5% version, 10% is too easy but 1% is just painful

In the 41.66 unstable, 2 new vehicle commands are added (attachTrailer / detachTrailer). Since they don't exist in this mod, you won't be able to tow anything (I patched the mod locally to make it work for now).

Thanks for this! Vanilla repairs were so low that it wasn't worth keeping a car over getting a new one!
