@gulpin the mod creator of phys_town_v2 fixed it :)

my problem is it makes a loud screeching sound. It started when I downloaded some half life 1 mods. This made the explosions sound like the half life 1 explosions. So I disabled the mod so it would change back because I did not like it. Now it makes half life 2 sounds but it makes the screeching sound and sometimes the hl1 sounds. (this also affects the fall damage sounds.)

can u make one where it replacing the black boxes in explosives the default hl2 explosions

I removed the black boxes by removing a conflicting addon, in my case it was phys_town 2. Still wish I could use that map, that was a good map

It replaces the particle textures with ones that have alpha channels. It also fixes the materials so they blend properly.

Does this replace them or fix them?
