@Bioness, That's odd then. I tried to train armor more than once, but the second time it just gave me experience and items - no more armor. Perhaps it's another mod limiting it somehow. I appreciate the answer though!

@Namid, you can use the training sites as many times as you want, there is no limit. It is up to the player to limit themselves if they do not wish to become overpowered.

I have a question - do the bonuses only apply once? It seems to be so from testing (which is fine, just making sure I understand). Meaning per chapter I can only get +1 armor, but infinitely train for more experience and items?

LOL, so the intended effects are reversed! ;) Don't sweat it though. I don't mind it as is, because boosting retirement age is more important for me at the moment.

@Lampros it may have to do with how the bonuses are added in Wildermyth. I would say it is unintended that the retirement age is staying, but that was added differently from the stat bonuses.

It seems like the training bonus only stays for the given campaign? Is this intended? The bonus to retirement age stayed but the armor for my Warrior didn't stay.

Oh, wait: Looking at TamTroll's comment, it looks like you can spam train - rather than get a one-time boost? Hmm, I am not sure if I can resist the temptation to abuse the system then... ;)

Did some testing, this is NOT the mod that was giving me trouble with recruiting heroes. so apologies for any worry there.

@Bioness nothing i can see myself, not super good at reading this kind of thing.

Think best i can do is turn off this mod and see if it fixes anything. if not, maybe it'll be fixed in the next chapter. if not, i'm probably just SOL

@TamTroll The fact that you are using a custom campaign tells me that it probably conflicts with this mod. Look in the files of each mod, if they modify the same file, it will conflict.

@Bioness A generic Legacy campaign made with the "2 Legacy Heroes + 1 New Hero Campaigns" mod. At first i thought it was because this was a legacy campaign, but people on the discord have told me those still allow you to make new characters from scratch and recruit some villages, so it seems like something is wrong there.

@TamTroll I have not experienced that. This mod only adds sites so it shouldn't affect existing sites. One recruiting event should appear in each chapter. The events will also stay on the map between chapters, so they should never disappear.

Which campaign did this occur on?

@Bioness Suppose i should ask, have you ever experienced new recruits not being available when using this mod? I started a game with this mod and others recently, and i've noticed that for the entirety of chapter 1, and for the start of chapter 2 (that's where i stopped) there was no option to recruit a new hero from a village, even though i'm pretty sure i saw the flag to recruit a new hero just before the first fight of the campaign, it hasn't shown up again since.

This mod is the only one i have that modifies villages, is it possible that it could be preventing new recruit flags from appearing / staying? Tried disabling it, but that hasn't caused any new flags to pop up even with some time passing, so i'm not sure.

@TamTroll you're fine. I understand this mod can make your characters overpowered if used too much, which is intended. I had thought about removing the experience and item feature before, but I figured most players might enjoy the multi-function aspect of it.

Wildermyth is really easy to mod and to make copies of existing mods. If you wouldn't want to do that still, you could enable the developer console, but doing that could make it even easier to trivialize the game.

@Bioness that's a fair point. Think i'll avoid editing any files out of fear of accidentally breaking something, and just try to limit training with a personal rule instead.

Was mainly trying to give feedback on the mod with the intent on helping maintain game-balance if that's something you're aiming for at all. Not a request for a new mod, sorry if my last comment came off that way.

@TamTroll, I could make a version that removes the items and experience, but different people usually want different things, so I don't want to make a bunch of versions I have to maintain. You could edit out the stuff you don't want and turn it into a personal mod by deleting the relevant lines in the assets > data > effects > bioness_boost_trainDamage/Defense files.

just tried this mod out today, have some feedback.

On adventurer carved in stone, i ended chapter 1 with three level 4 warriors, each only getting 2 rounds of training. As nice as it is, i feel like the addition of the experience points, retirement age, and item might be a bit too powerful for something that is always available.

Perhaps a rework or separate version of the mod that limits the number of trainings that can be done per chapter, and only has a small chance of providing experience points, OR retirement age, OR an item?

Maybe i'm more used to Tragic Hero difficulty, but i worry this might be a bit much for my taste. Might just increase the difficulty of my campaign.
