And you read the Instructions inside the .vpk
Look for a Readme! named file.

Yeah,I have checked it over and over again.
Entered the game,the background didn't show up.
I'm using desktop.

good it works. its simple just down the link https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5c88zg0Ue9ybDE4QTFsNGsyRzA/edit
and go to drve:C - steam- steamapps - common - Left 4 Dead 2 -left 4 dead -media
and move all l4d2_backhground01~05 on your desktop then put in the file you download
from the link. then copy it 5 and rename it to l4d2_backhground01~05

Take the File you Downloaded and Rename it to l4d2background01 (02, 03, 04, 05 extra Copys)
Let them all replace the Old Files that is in the "Media" Folder.

okay i downloaded the GCFScape and .net, then checked for the add-on in game got it

im trying my hardest here but idk, plz give links to whats needed. Like where to get the GCFScape, and another thing i didnt see a vpk in that folder after workshop

Hi Guys i got the mac version to work :)
I will leave the tutorial down here:

- First you Need is "VPK OSX" to be able to open the .vpk
- Second you need to go to\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop
- There you should find a .vpk named "bg_datealive_mikusings" or Look for a file that is about 46KB
- Open the .vpk with using "VPK OSX"
- There you should find a "Readme!"
- And use that to install the MOD
- Next you need to download "bik convertor"
- After you've done that you convert the bik file to .mov
- Go back to the Media file in your l4d folder and put both the l4d2_background 01.bik and .mov (renaming is required make sure is 1-5) and close it and you are good to go :)

Okay i manage to get the vpk extracted but i have 1 problem because there is no .mov i think thats why it didnt load up in the menu
