You can probably mess around with the element viewer thing and add a $color float/string/whatever it was (I haven't used SFM in a very long time).

Alternatively you can make an image that's just whatever color you want it to be and add a $basetexture string in the element viewer and direct it to wherever you stored the image.

I hope I explained that correctly, as I said I haven't used SFM in a long time so I've forgotten how things work.
