For anyone not able to construct the building even when culture innovation prerequisites are met, you can go into the mod file special building.txt under common and delete the 'can_construct' bracket. This line contains the innovation requirement, deleting it will remove the prerequisite.

Again, I keep it updated through the "Special World" mod. There's no reason to run this if you have that mod enabled. It also makes most of the special building mods compatible.

As mentioned on the Forum, this mod has been abandoned for years, long before I was ever offered the opportunity to work on the Content Creator Pack. It was discontinued back in 2022 in order to work on Medieval Arts. It's written on this Workshop page, on the Discord server, it has been communicated openly multiple times here and elsewhere. I can not stress this enough, there is no connection between this mod and the Content Creator Pack, never was.

But let's be honest, even if there had been, what gives you the right to criticize someone for pursuing a very generous collaboration with an established game developer? Modding is a hobby, it only exists so far as the modder likes to work on it.
I find it nauseating that you would complain under here over a rumor that not only is just factually wrong, but that even if it had been true would have just been a personal decision.
Modders owe you absolutely nothing, stop whining and grow up.

Don't bother, no update will ever come : Paradox and PiGu will sell you this mod in a brand new "DLC", instead of trying to add more flavor or interest in the game.

seems like a few buildings are missing either from this og UB+ such as Hammerhus at Bornholm and all castles in Wales I am using the a special world compach

Additionally, the buildings in this mod are contained within "A Special World" mod and updated for 1.13.

To those whom it may concern, Medieval Arts: More Special Buildings has officially been retired, effective September 24th, per PiGu's announcement on his Discord channel. This will not be updated, so there isn't much point in requesting it.

Is the Tapissiers d'Aubusson special building part of this mod - or the main MA mod? It has a non_var_equal error and I can't build it. Seems like there are localizations missing.

@PiGu i was asked from sbdy to make a mod that removes the religiouse requirements of ur special buildings mod, do i have the permission from u to do that?

and if im allowed to do that, could u tell me what the "scope:holder.var:MA_art_school_story_variable ?= { var:aesthetic_tradition ?= flag:... }" in the can_construct block does? is that also a type of religiouse or geopolitical restrictment?

The none_var_equal problem mentioned in some of the other comments comes up for several buildings, and isn't a mod conflict (the buildings don't work even when all other mods are turned off). Anybody find a fix?

When I want to build some of these special buildings I have a box with none_var_equal has no localization requirement and I can build or upgrade any existing ones. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

hey how do i built the "Sultan Han" in Kappadokia, or the "Kizikule" (spelled wrong probably) in Kiyrrhaiotai, on the Anatolian part of the Byzantine Empire. I tried Greek/Arabic, Christian/Islam it always says var location not found (or something similar under debug mode).

You call it in the datafiles MA_MSB_castle_verdun_01, but the translation says building_MA_MSB_cathedral_verdun_01 and the text describes a cathedral.

@PiGu This mod needs an update after the most recent game update. They changed some triggers regarding control change. Sometimes the game crashes on startup and the log shows thousands of errors like this:

@PiGu @Thangborn Techincally, the mod doesn't need an update for functionality. It may want some upgrades though.

I do maintain this mod through the "Special World" but there are changes from the original which take into account buildings from other mods.
