Cool that someone did this! Back around the time SS3 came out, I also made a mini-mod to fix it (never published tho). I recall either adding another few milliseconds to the cutoff, or cut and extended the last few milliseconds. It feels a bit short when it's cut off. Really cool that you kept the spider melee sound in there for those instances, I didn't think of that back when.
