Since I read the book, the monster being called "Frankenstein" has always bothered me.
I appreciate that I'm not the only one who's bothered by this, and I appreciate you creating this simple mod to fix that bother.

Fair point, being able to make a distinction between the two is fairly important. Frankenstein's monster does compare himself to adam from the bible though, so i think he could also be referred to as Adam Frankenstein funnily enough. If the doctor wont name his creation that it will name itself. I like how people can continue to have conversations like this about the book over 200 years after it was written.

Frankenstein as you have explained, does seem to serve as a last name. The so called, "monster" did not have a name to my knowledge. Hence why, "Frankenstein's Monster" is refereed to as, "Frankenstein's Monster." The name seems to only serve as a form of identification and distinction between other beings. I am glad to see people carrying on conversation about this! :)

Isn't Frankenstein the name of the doctor and the monster? The doctor's name is Victor Frankenstein, making it his last name, and the monster (being intelligent and conversing with Victor) see's himself as the son of Victor, making him a Frankenstein.

This was so needed. I had just realized that they used Frankenstein instead of Frankenstein's Monster a few days ago and got quite annoyed.

Just one tiny nit-pick. Could you capitalize the M in Monster, since the F is capitalized? It just makes everything that much cleaner.
