Please update B42 as soon as possible.

You can use the "ripped sheets expanded" mod as a workaround until this mod is fixed. Just turn underwear into sheet rope and then turn the sheet rope into sheets.

Small update: I fiddled around with this mod and added the "DisplayCategory = Clothing," detail, but it did not resolve the issue. I'm wondering if there is a loot table that determines how many RippedSheets are given per Cotton Item. For example, Dresses give 4, T-shirts give 3, Ankle Socks give 2.

I've noticed that the tearing doesn't give back ripped sheets; you just get Thread, depending on your tailoring level. I dove into the code and found the edits made by this mod added "FabricType = Cotton" to all underwear (reflected from the vanilla code from scripts/clothing/clothing_underwear.txt). This change allows the ability to rip the underwear. However, the recipe for "Rip Clothing" (under scripts\recipes.txt) uses "[Recipe.GetItemTypes.RipClothing_Cotton]," to check for the item type to be cotton, which used to work. The only difference I can see is the "DisplayCategory = Clothing," is missing from each underwear item in the mod file (compared to the vanilla code). Best bet, the only other way to make this work would be a new recipe that targets every underwear item and has the result as a Ripped Sheet.

I guess the devs didn't want us to make the zeds naked for ripped sheets lol

Are there any mods currently known for sure to conflict with this one?

I am having the same issues as @backrevol after noticing the issue I got 30 underwears in 5 different variations and after tearing them got back no ripped sheets and 3 thread rolls with zero usage bar.

When i tear underwear,sometimes i get thread with zero remainins.I had 10 tailoring and mods,so i wonder if such happends to others or its just my personal bug?

Nice mod! I've always wondered why this can't be done in the vanilla.

The only other mod I have rehearing clothing is a repair mod. I'll try some different combinations thanks

Tested it out and still working just fine for me.
There hasn't been a patch touching clothes, so it's probably mod compatibility on your end.

with this mod I am not getting any cloth from tearing ANY clothing now?

It is not giving me experience to tear underwear and only occasionally gives me some cloth

does this extend to bra's?

I appreciate this mod, but I think the reason we can't do this in vanilla is because... I mean... some modesty for the dead completely aside, I'm not wrapping my glass wound with zombie panties. XD

I really appreciate you asking, but I'm afraid not.
Sadly I have had too many bad experiences with people taking my mods and not respecting credit, or outright denying that I made them until it was proven the code was mine.

Luckily this mod hasn't needed a serious update in a long time, and what it does is so vanilla friendly that your server should never suffer during an update, except for when Steam Workshop fails to update an individual user's file correctly.

you get XP each time you get a thread in vanilla - and these can give threads - and it is the chance of getting a thread that is relatively small - but if you mass rip clothes you will get loads of threads - and now there is a vanilla option to consolidate them which is also nice - but the Stack All mod had it covered before that

i noticed they don't give ripped sheets - which i am ok with, since they are very small - but i am interested if it was a choice - since all vanilla clothes give sheets when ripped - but it is nice to get the extra chance of getting threads when you mass rip the horde of zombies you just reverse donutted in your car :-)

I think I had xp before but I'm only 80% sure of that. And it definetly not working now because it gives no sheets.

Sheets depend on your tailoring skill, but is very low. This is a vanilla issue.
And you’re not supposed to gain xp simply from tearing clothes, but devs might add that in vanilla later.

Zuoanph I Second the tearing of wire from bra's as a man I've no appreciation of the hatred of underwire BUT as a survivalist I can say this is 1 needed & 2 an issue with the strapless bra's.

Btw I figured out what had happened for multiplayer so no more issues there .... I do ask is there specific info on how high in Tailoring you need to receive cloth or threads from them?

I been trying to get it to work, it's on and enabled it have the exact same mods for both solo and Multiplayer and mods that should work just don't

idk if is just in MP but isn't working! i tested literally right now, when i rip a underwear the ripped cloth don't appear in inventory just make de animation and de bar, but nothing in inventory

i was finding that off they cannot be torn when its cloth it should be in without a mod.. so nice mod!

This is because underwear are too small.
To get cloth and threads from underwear, level up your tailoring.
This is a vanilla feature.
