The bug is the black texture that show up on windows and doors.
If you are to close it can create a black texture on them regardless if the door is open or not.

This can be tested best in Dark Carnival motel.

This is something from the engine I assume since all water mods has this bug.

The reflection does effect performance but the transparency it doesn't

If you hop onto the 3rd stage of Hard Rain, the last building you enter before the saferoom house has weird void spots past doorframes.

It depends on your system i guess, some people were experiencing lower framerates, others (including i) weren't.

tl;dr, not the modders fault, can't be fixed, side effect of enabling a VMT to duplicate whats being rendered and flip it 180 on the Z-axis.

Its also worth mentioning that this feature likely wasn't intended to be used in L4D2, as the vanilla water VMT's only reflect map skyboxes and the 3D meshes within them. It would explain the conflicting bugs with optimization entities introduced in L4D2.
This is why some things "reflect" and others don't on vanilla L4D2, and why there is a crapton of black textured skybox meshes in the games files.

The black doors and stuff of the matter is usually area portals compiled within the map to make it more optimized by preventing rendering into a room/area unless you are close to it. This is prevalent on lower settings as the distance required for the "portal" to fade out requires you to be closer.

Since this mod reflects entities in real time via its VMT's, the specialized entity brushes (area portals) are reflected and this pretty much cannot be avoided.
This is because Valve likely intended such reflective water to only be used on a coast or open setting where there wouldn't be any special brushes or tools other than the water itself.

@Meraru OMG it really is Christmas!!! Thank you so much creatin' this, mate! I had tried asking Ananasa Anaso 94 directly if he could make these two mods compatible with each other before since they conflicted with each other when I got them. I'm gonna leave the mod as it is for now, i'm not too bothered by the bug and people are already aware that is there, so subscribe keeping that in mind. If anyone know a fix let me know.

Yes most definetly, because all enhanced water reflections does is edit the text in the water materials (as far as i know all it does is change a 1 to a 0). A possible "fix" would be to remove the materials related to the passing from the mod, but that would mean that it not longer will benefit from the aesthetic changes, and it could also affect other maps that use the same water materials.

Yep still have this bug. The problem is because it edits some mechanic on VFX in the game. I had this bug with water mods, some lighting mods. It's not a hardware problem. Modding water texture do not do this, but it's text files does.

I don't know what causes the issue so i'm not working on a fix, so it is what it is for now.
