This mod is more so intended for MP game play or a continuous play through with different characters in the same world.
Wealth and security in apocalypse is not only defined by how much materialistic items you possess, in some cases, knowledge comes in handy if you could pass it on, wouldn't you agree?

The title of the mod is “pass on your knowledge” think on what that means for a bit.

The skill books are usually plentiful, but when you can create a “how to use generators” using your electricial skill or a “the herbalist” magazine using your foraging level this mod is USEFUL, chucklenuts.

This mod is useless, I usually search for the book when I'm practicing skills, and I keep the book when I get the xp multiplier. The mod is made up of notes, erasers, and pens that are identical to the original skill book. So what's the difference between this mod and randomly searching for books in the game?

Books added by other mods are compatible with this one? I mean, mods that adds skill books can be done with this one? Because that would be amazing.

@SlenderGreen i'll go ahead and try a new server and see if it works then, i'll let you know what I find! (hopefully the WIVDTS solution works first though. I'd rather not have to make a new one to test it. I'll let you know what my findings! <3

Hi, I think it is due to steam not recognising the mod when it was added, we had an issue on our server as well, but had since fixed itself after we had started a new server with only this mod. When we went back to our first server all of the recipes appeared! (This is the easier way)
However if this does not work for you, you can always try to fix the issue from "Workshop Item Version different than Servers" solution. It is a bit lengthier but should fix any issue with any mods not showing up!

Hey, I can't figure out how to actually use this mod, I added it as a workshop item and mod on the MP server I made with my friends and I. I don't see the crafting recipes anywhere, how do I learn them?

This is a wonderful mod, and something not mentioned is how this feels natural enough for characters to accomplish specialized knowledge. FOR EXAMPLE, at lvl 4 foraging you would expect your character to know what is poisonous and not, but now at that level you can produce the herbalist magazine and finally your character "knows" through their skills reaching that point.

Sorry, it seems like that is from the preview picture not being the right size, however I am using the right sized one for the mod... So I am really not sure why it is not working for you. Later on maybe I will update the mod and the mod pic, hopefully it fixes this issue!

No, it does not work like that. However you will be able to write Carpentry skill books if you can not find them in the world.

How does this mod work exactly?
Like if I have say Carpentry 5 and I know im dying soon, do i just write down my skills in a blank book or sheet of paper and then my next character can come find it read it and get carpentry 5 or?

This mod allow you to craft vanilla skill books only. It does not add any extra items to the game thus is less likely to break your game through the updates.
I would say the mod you have listed is made more for a single player to retrieve his/her skills, while my mod's purpose is to make skill books that others can also read in MP servers. These skills books are vanilla and will not give you your skills back. (Because death is death to me and I would rather work my way back if I got reckless and died)
Therefore these are not the same mods! :)
