lore heads can just activate the mod when they reach 3049 in their savegame
Or as a mod? It's already out as a mod, it's been up on Steam since December 2021.
(Technically, we already figured out a way to build both the Mad Dog and Timberwolf in a manner which works with YAML [slightly nerfed from the non-YAML versions, but we're just happy they're workable at all]; however, this does not change the fact that any AI allies/enemies who spawn in either of these mechs generate with their equipment missing [since they're attempting to use YAWC weapons/engines, which aren't installed], making them effectively useless/sometimes hindering mission progress [if it gets stuck somewhere]/etc.)
Regardless, thanks for your work.
(TL;DR version: YAML version doesn't work without YAWC despite not listing it as a requirement; could you possibly make a version using YAML [non-YAWC] equipment for those who don't want to run extra weapon mods?)
I'm pretty sure most of the "invalid loadout" issues are down to not having YAWC (Yet Another Weapon Clan) installed. The base game version doesn't require YAWC, but the YAML one appears to -- attempting to use this mech with YAML but without YAWC installed leads to the mech appearing way under/over-tonnage and without certain components.
This in mind, I have a question -- our group absolutely loves this + the Timberwolf mods, and have been hoping to get into YAML for a while now; however, we do NOT want to expand into YAWC (YAML is already complicated enough + we don't really want to get into weapon mods just yet, weapon balance becomes an issue/etc). As YAML and YAWC are indeed separate mods (in part due to the same reasons I listed as to why we don't want to use it), would it be possible to make a version of this which could be used without YAWC?

@Mew: You need the YAML versions of my mods when you play YAML. You can't use vanilla loadouts with YAML.
