Being a Space Engineer on Xbox I don't have access to all the mods and I didn't know there was one for printing multiple grids!
Anyway, thank you very much for the compliments!
Survive safe fellow Engineer!
I wanted to build using the world's natural resources!
But I tested it using the creative and I can tell you this is the best base I've ever seen in any game!
You did a great build, great job!
Very smart and creative.
Maybe I'll use the Multigrid Projector plugin to be able to create from the projector!
Thanks!
Unfortunately yes, since the projectors cannot project sub-grids, all moving parts will not be projected (lift, roof hangar door), as well as the wall of buttons in the control room.
Although the bunker is functional in survival mode, you will need to use the admin tool to paste it in survival mode.
Is this a problem that will affect the functioning of the base?
I'm playing survival!
As the doors are opened and closed by sensors, they cannot open if the elevator shaft does not change floors.
I suggest you do a test in space to see if the problem persists (that will eliminate my voxel hypothesis).
It's very weird, I did some tests yesterday and it works for me.
In my case, I opened a blank world in survival, I activated the creative tools with the administrator tool to be able to spawn stuff.
I made the bunker and this little hunter appear: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2678183957
As my creations are delivered reloaded I had to empty it by shooting all the ammunition.
Then I entered the bunker to connect, I used the ground connector in the largest slot, facing the ground entrance and my ship recharged.
So I checked the connections behind the walls for the other connectors and the circuit seems complete to me.
- Do you use mods? This could perhaps create a conflict somewhere in the operation of the game?
- Are the ships you want to reload properly connected, I mean do they have sorters to pump ammo into containers or just basic weapons storage?
- Last guess, I'm an Xbox creator, it could be a version conflict although normally everything is compatible.
Normally the burgundy connectors that are outside the bunker are only used to supply the building, the black connectors (inside and two under the small outer shelters) should reload your ships with uranium, ice, missiles and Gatling ammo boxes.
Please, tell me if it works, I have the impression that the last update has changed things in the conveyor blocks system.
Yep, at least it's equipped with gravity generators and the living area is pressurized but it's a static grid meant to be embedded in the ground.
I'm thinking about it, especially since my new creations need new ammunition. I don't know when I will have time to do it but in fact I have almost all my creations to update...
lol, "pas de problèmes", I'm on it.
I will transfer my various landing pads, my O2/H2 factory and a defense station.
My son and I are curious on what your take on a factory and an imperial landing platform would look like. Je ne parle pas français mais vous avez deux nouveaux fans de votre travail.
Thanks, I'll try to do that before the weekend.
I've never made any requests, in fact I have too many projects in mind but I'm always curious to hear proposals.
Ado :
Uh, of course fellow engineer, it's on the workshop for that.
The only thing not allowed is public repost, you can modify it, make videos, destroy it but not publish the blueprint publicly.
Very happy that you and your son like my buildings!
I'm currently on a rover project but I have a few small buildings on my modio workshop that I could transfer here.
My son and I have started playing SE together and your buildings are great for setting up a base of operations. I also enjoy the atmo bike, tons of fun!
We have been using your creations together on a platform as an airbase outside of some mining operations. We would love to see some more buildings, especially some industrial ones. Once all piped up together we have super high hopes for a self-contained planet base. PLEASE keep it up!!
It's very weird, indeed the sensors should be defined on a larger range.
I don't play on PC, my laptop isn't young enough for that but I can still test stuff (with big lag), I'd go do a test but your hypothesis of a conflict with a mod is probable.
No, the bunker is delivered empty, you will find the jet by following this link:

And if you want to look at my other objects, here is the link of my workshop:

Fly safe!
I've been doing my videos on Pertam lately, usually when I do a cinematic I take a blank world so that my console memory is too.
But I do have a base on Pertam not far from my favorite canyon, I still have a few adjustments to make on it and I will publish it.
For the moment I have only published my space research and development base:

Anyway thank you for the suggestion!
It's strange, the elevator should work.
If you install it on a gravity planet and it is not well aligned with this gravity it is possible that the sub-grids are rubbing and preventing the operation of the elevator.
It's also possible that a voxel has stuck the elevator sub-grid to the ground, preventing it from moving.
I advise you to use the spectator tool to take a look inside the elevator column or to spawn the bunker in space to see if everything is working well without contact with voxels.
Do not hesitate to keep me informed or to ask any other questions, I come to see the comments every 24 hours.
Ideally, you still have to find relatively flat ground or level it out, this is where the voxel tool can be useful.
Otherwise you have to stick the bunker through the ground and clean the voxels inside with the voxel tool or with a driller.
There are sub-grids which can prevent installation if they are in contact with voxels but they must be high enough not to interfere with the installation.
The lowest sub-grid is the one on the elevator, it's probably the one that prevents you from setting it up in a rough terrain.
I advise you to make the bunker appear in space to see where the elevator is and understand how the building is projected (because with the green post-copy lines we do not always understand the shape and direction of installation of an object).
