Hey huge fan of this mod and Mimikyu has quickly become one of my secondaries, I think the sprites in this mod are beautiful and the moveset is incredible. Just wanted to ask for a few balance adjustments, a little more whiff on side special, toning down the knockback on uncharged side strong and less knockback on back air without curse applied. Last thing is that in the trailer it showed Mimkyu having the ability to use up strong to slingshot towards his opponent but it seems that was removed or no longer work and I'd appreciate if that could be looked at. Overall 10/10 mod and just wanted to say you did an amazing job!

This character is overall amazing. Feels good to play, good glass cannon, and it's Mimikyu so it's awesome. I have just a few small gripes with it, though,one of which is that his curse is kinda hard to utilize. He loses stacks anytime he takes any damage (to compare, Ranno loses poison stacks after getting melee hit) which makes it hard to utilize his gimmick with there being only four moves that cause the gimmick (Zetterburn has 5, one of which is a lasting hitbox). The other problem is forward tilt not working sometimes. It's only real niche is applying curse which, while a pretty good niche, doesn't even apply it at times. Ftilt also feels pretty unsafe compared to his other tilts.
I was also going to mention how Dstrong is barely worth it, because 10% off of one move is way too risky, until I learned you can heal with the move as well. It's alright, I suppose.
But yeah, one of the most fun characters I've played in workshop. Love the references too.

Also why did you remove the flame from doing dmg/nerf mimikyu? I remember playing it in the past and it was fun, but now it really hard to win any game at all, and using the curse is super hard as they never stick because they just disappear after you get hit by your opponent. You never even get a chance to use Dair, and Bair.

I think I've found a bug/glitch with this character. When side special trades with another move, for a very long time afterwards it won't do the grab on them anymore if it hits them, it'll just do a small percent of damage. I haven't yet found a way to consistently cause it to end. Dying or your opponent dying don't seem to do the trick, but trading with side special again does sometimes fix it. Not sure if you're still updating the character, but wanted to make sure this is known!

Hello, I was wondering if I could recreate this character to be playable for Elecbyte's M.U.G.E.N Engine.
MUGEN's also a pixelated 2D fighting game except it's free and has a lot more coding and customization options

Thanks for the feedback! We currently have some people helping me work on balance for the character but it's not a huge priority for us right now. Mimikyu was originally a gamejam character so their balance is pretty all over the place as balance was never the focus to begin with.

We're slowly working on ways to improve the character and have had some great help from the competitive workshop scene. Also tell your friends to adapt 👍

Amazing character, i loved it ! However i think it's kinda overpowered right now, like, ridiculously overpowered,, It have too much knockback, combo too hard and doesn't even need the curse mecanic to kill and do massive damages. Also its attacks are almost instant and have barely any lag.. I would love to play it with my friends but it feels so unfair right now,,,

Please read the patch notes to see the changes. Down Special was heavily nerfed because it doesn't really make sense to be able to freely have a floating hitbox that had very little counterplay (you could airdodge through it to make it trigger and miss). Now it acts purely as a way to enhance your special moves as well as extending combos. Before it just had a little too much of everything so we decided to decrease it's power, especially since Mimikyu is already a relatively powerful character as it stands right now

1. oh yes Will-o-wisp only gives 1 curse after balance changes! Thanks for pointing that out it needs to be changed in the description!
2. Bair and Dair do not give curse yes! That's intended!
3. The other moves you mentioned do in fact apply 1 curse ticks excepted a charged shadowball!

Those things are mentioned in the description!

I'd like to note that I've noticed a few differences in gameplay from this description:
1: will-o-wisp gives 1 curse
2: bair and dair do not give curse
3: up special and neutral special give 1 curse per hit each, but a fully charged neutral special gives 2 curse
that's all I've seen at the moment, but if I missed anything, please let me know.

Side Special has a trigger at the start and end of the attack to turn the opponent they hit invisible and then visible, Turbo Mode allows you to cancel the end lag of moves. If you cancel the endlag of Side Special you also cancel the trigger to turn the opponent visible again. Dying resets all of the players values, including their visibility.

I don't typically consider Turbo Mode when designing my characters because my general audience doesn't play Turbo Mode, so thank you for the headsup! When I have time I'll look into fixing this issue.

Not sure on the exact conditions for this to happen but when playing with my friends with turbo mode on cancelling side special into side tilt seems to turn the target invisible until they lose a stock

Up Strong change was also for consistency purposes, I loved the pull mechanic as well but having it only on tipper made it quite awkward as most of the time you're not using ustrong to start a combo but rather go for a kill. And by the point you can kill someone with Ustrong you don't necessarily want to hit the opponent after being pulled towards them.

Generally we're still listening to feedback though so we will certainly consider your feedback and adjust accordingly as we get more info! Thank you so much once again it means a lot to hear feedback from players of all varietyes, casual or competitive!

Thanks so much for the feedback!

Wisp had a nerf because many of the more experienced players say they felt the move felt quite oppressive especially for a player trying to recover. As a result we believed that slowing down the moving and forcing it to become more committal would make the player be more decisive about how and where they place their wisp rather than constantly throwing it out when they can.

Ftilt was only nerfed due to consistency with curse ticks, a handful of players believed that ftilt applying 1 additional tick on all 3 hits made other moves that applied ticks obsolete in their utility. So setting all attacks to apply only 1 tick (except shadowball) added more consistency in understanding how curse ticks worked. It may nerf curse overall, but it also reduced the spamming of certain moves over others and adds more focus on using a variety of moves instead of just one to apply the curses.

if you're soliciting feedback on the nerfs, they felt like a little much on wisp and ftilt. mimikyu still seems plenty good (from my extremely casual perspective) but I feel like slowing down everything about wisp AND reducing the curse hurt it a lot, on top of its general short duration. maybe it could last longer? I'm definitely still not using it to its full potential admittedly!

I have no strong feelings about the upstrong change (although I am curious what prompted it) but I have always loved the move! it's very fun to space and feels scary but not too oppressive.

ftilt still feels pretty committal and unreliable. in most situations I would rather just throw out an fstrong, especially since now I get the curse stack almost none of the time as enemies fall out before it even occurs.

I think shadowball is a very fun projectile and probably charges fast enough to not need storage.

mimikyu remains incredibly fun as everyone says. thanks so much for your work on it!

Mimikyu is getting some minor nerfs in the coming future! We’re still in the fine tuning stages of the character so they may feel overpowered in some places or underwhelming in others! Thank you for the feedback all!

Currently there are no plans to allow storing shadowball but it may change in the future based off how we proceed with Mimikyu’s design!

@odious botch Well Mycolich's kit needs a rework as a whole. As cool as his concept is he's pretty weak overall.
