Geysers would likely have to be set/added when the map is generated. Don't think they could be added (cleanly) after the fact.

Would love to have exactly that for geysirs too (but only those how are related to the map)

Just tested it, it works just fine. Keep in mind that if you already have one of every planet type that it won't actually add anything. Also, as far as I'm aware, this doesn't work with the DLC, as I didn't have the DLC to test it, and from what I've seen the DLC starmap is quite a bit different.

yeah, use the debug mode and activate instant build mode, then go into the star map and press the analyze button

should be able to, yes, but it won't remove the planets after they've been added, also, it will add planets to saves already in-progress

Can a save be loaded without this mod after planets have been added?

I'm not sure what you mean. The base game exploration system doesn't let you actually explore the things on the star map, just sends a rocket to it and it comes back with resources.
