Those that are still interested or get notified, I have made Eternal Embers accessible on Normal difficulty, although it's still a work in progress. Here is the mod.
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3081658540
I don't know when I'll update this, but it's in my future plan to. I will be completely reworking it, so it's only one version. I think choice is good, but I can compromise all versions into a more streamlined experience.
Exp is x5, not x2. Ennemies are x2.
You should be able to use this mod just fine with playing a session with Custom Quest. If you wanted a database.arz edit for overriding the default then I don't know when I'll get round to doing that. Probably when they officially release a patch for EE, still waiting for public beta to go live.
If you download the mod, you can find your steamapps/workshop directory where the mod is located. Inside of \EEaccessible\eeacc\database\records\game you will find the file I modified, playergamebalanceattributes.dbr. You can check it out in ArtManager.
There is a Player defense section, I forgot the exact name but all the set parameters for Resistances for difficulties are in there. By default, they are 0;*;*;;-40;*:*;-100, but I set them to all be 0.
Thanks
In the files I edited, I set it so that the experience gain was set from minus to 0. Not having a positive or negative value for EXP should have removed it off the items themselves as a stat.
You talk about a set piece, is that the public beta? Because I don't have access to these database records, or at least I can't find the dragon king set in the Xpack4/item/Sets
Also I'll try test out the experience thing for you, it could be that the XP multiplier and the XP gained is so low that it isn't showing much of a difference, since the formula uses player and monster level. I'm going to test it with a higher number by myself.
Dragon King's Lamellar
Dragon King's Talons
Dragon King's Stride
Also, I may just have to get you the expansion sometime for all this help
