I keep dying once spawning in with the model. Found that you can use it with another addon that instantly changes your model, but dying afterwards will just make it impossible to use again. No idea what the issue could be but my guess the hitbox is somehow screwed up, at least upon spawning.

No, it has a melee animation. If the animation is counted as a melee attack according to gmod, then they'll do the hijacking animation. Otherwise, it will not do any animation.
