EDIT: Just did some quick checking and found it pretty easy I think. In the common/graphical_culture/graphical_culture.txt, just need to add in "has_city_graphics = no" in the section where the fallback.

@walshicus When you get the time to go around and update the individual shipsets, could you disable the city sets from them? I'm not sure what is needed, just know that it's something that became possible with 4.0.

Maybe. I'm not happy with a lot of their stations etc, so they'd need to be redone. But it would be nice to do something to align with the stuff the Paradox have mentioned may be coming for next year.

The answer is no, these sets don't account for changes made by other sets. They're designed to be used with the vanilla game.

@Walshicus: the mod "Federation Builders: Ships and Cities" has a shipset inspired by the ships of the Federation from TNG. I would kill for a shipset inspired in the design of the Sarajevo (fro left to right, the third photo). That design looks far more cool than all other NX Era designs put together.
And no, I don't like of the great majority of the designs used by the Federation an Starfleet. The only exceptions to this rule are the Sarajevo, the Defiant, the Delta Flyer and the runabouts.

The ship designs are very good to look at.

However, when I select the hangar section for the smallest defense platform in the ship designer, a hangar segment clips into the set that doesn't belong there.

There is a sub-forum under the STNC group shipset where you can post new shipset requests. Personally, I'm waiting for a Gorn shipset, but I use most of these shipsets for my custom Star Trek races for my Stellaris campaign.

How is it you have every racial shipset from Star Trek under the sun EXCEPT the MOST POPULAR one there is, the TNG shipset with the Galaxy class? How is that possible? I seriously don't get it. I am dumbfounded that there is not one single solitary good TNG era shipset anywhere in these mods on the entire workshop! Not one!

Started a run with the mod, only had access to the Ganymede class when it comes to Corvettes. There was no Emmette frames available to select.

Frigates are just corvette models, so shouldn't need anything.

Was wondering, have these been updated to cooperate with the addition of the frigate class of ships?

Not sure what the next standalone will be, tbh. I'd want to update the Gorn ships in STNC first before doing something standalone there.

@spartan1096 - No sir, these are from STNC. STNC is a complete overhaul type mod. You can use this shipset to play regular Stellaris and it's races.

Walshicus has several other Star Trek shipsets too that are great. Plus, of you want to try a custom Star Trek themed race with a mod Stellaris, you might like trying one of my custom races. (Sorry, shameless push off my own mods that use Walshicus' shipsets.)

So if I subscrible STNC I can still play vanilla races with these shipsets?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but do you plan to also release some of the Star Trek portraits as a separate mods in the future?

@Walshicus - You are correct, the Frigate is not really a new ship type as far it's own model. It's more like the missile type corvette core section being separate from the corvette type listing and made it's own category of ship types.

I downloaded the Orion Beta and loaded all your Star Trek ship sets that use (which is all of them except Tuterians and Xindi) and everyone of the ship sets worked with Orion Beta.

Several other mods I use also seemed to work fine. I limited the mods I tried to ones that don't modify Stellaris combat or game mechanics. Like I used Ironman ABS in place of the regular ABS I use.

That’s a bummer that they use the corvette model. Was hoping they’d be a new design. Of course it’s good because it likely won’t break older ship sets.

Cool, that will make saying easier in that regard. I tried the Beta release a little bit, then switched back to Fornax and tenable my mods collection. I'll have to do what I was thinking and experience with loading the ship sets.

From what I understand, the frigates just use one of the old corvette entities anyway. So I don't think any work will be needed.

@Walshicus - With the upcoming Stellaris v3.6 Orion release, do you plan to add the new Frigate ship type to your Star Trek Universe ship sets? All ship set mods will be needing to account for this new ships type addition to the base game.

If not updated to the Frigate, I imagine the ship sets mods will work, but their game might use a generic Stellaris ship for the Frigate instead. Hopefully you won't mind adding support for v3.6 Orion, I really love using your Star Trek ship sets.

@Xavi - Walshicus might counter me on this, but I think it's not Downscaled Ships compatible per say. It would need a separate version created.

In that you can use it at the same time. Yes. In that the NSC ships will have unique models. No
