@ReoHays That seems to imply a mod conflict, indeed. I don't play with any overhauls, and am not really inclined to make patches. That said, this mod isn't rocket science, and trying to fix the incompatibility yourself could be a good first effort!

I put it in Game of Thrones and it does not seem to work. I am going to move it down on the load order and see if that helps.

Due to the way the mod is implemented, this mod will probably work forever without updates, but it may break/alter newly added mechanics. Or, to be precise, prevent certain updates from taking full effect. Anyway, I'll shortly install 1.15 and check if any changes are needed. I haven't played CK3 for quite a while now (blame Kingdom come 2 lol).

In addition, the SPECIFIC files this overwrites are scheme files, and schemes received a major update in 1.13.

So no, not compatible. It might load but it's going to cause you issues.

Have you both actually checked to see if it needs an update or just assuming it does because the single line of a single file that has no bearing on whether the mod works or not is throwing off the warning in the launcher?

I really enjoy this mod although I had to make my own compatch for it + Travel the Distance. I might also pick up that mod that sets the sterile trait to max negative fertility

Updated for 1.9.2, though the changes in the base game files were minor so shouldn't be any issues with updating mid-game.
Also, I've edited the description to remove the achievement-compatibility, as if I understand correctly, Paradox has finally allowed us to play the game how we want it to play and still get achievements, yay!

@daedrasp You'd need to edit the 3 files in the folder common>schemes, court_scheme.txt, elope_scheme.txt and seduce_scheme.txt. In those ctrl-f for 'chaste' and you should find the right place. Change the line "add = -5" for elope to whatever number you want there.

If want more powerful rejecting percent(-99%) to "AI's romance or seduce, elope" than modify what values?

Hey whatsapp, I noticed an imporant fix you could do:
If a character is Zealous and member of a Religion with Chasity as a virtue, it should be automatic that he gets chaste, otherwise a zealous christian that then sins of fornication would be kind of unrealistic

The chaste character is not one to be fooling around outside of marriage, thus making it much harder for you to seduce them if you're not married. Once you're both married, there no need to for the penalty. This mod is to make the chaste trait more realistic instead of the simplistic manner that the game introduced it as being nothing less then, as the description says, a second asexual orientation.

That's super fair and I agree with the logic/interpretation.
My confusion though is this line:

"Changes to schemes. Note: only applies if target is not your spouse
-Seduce has decreased success change from -15 to -45 if target is chaste"

I'm not sure if I'm reading this right but the way I'm reading it, means that seduce scheme success chance towards a chase spouse who is not your wife is now -45 from -15 with the mod but...seduce scheme success chance towards your non-chase wife remains -15?

What about if your wife is also chaste?
Shouldn't the seduce scheme success chance be lowered to -45 too even if she is your wife because your wife is also chaste?

@bluemoon Fair question I guess. I'm not the original author, so I'm not too sure. Reading from the 'Overview' part of the original text, the idea is mostly that the version of chastity that was promoted by Christianity didn't look down on having sex in general, but only on sex outside of marriage. Producing children while married was looked upon highly favorably.
In summary, I guess it changes the trait from 'someone who dislikes/refrains from having sex' to 'someone who conforms themselves to the religious view on sexual relations'.

I like this a lot but I have one question. What is the rationale to apply the changes to schemes only if the target is not your spouse? Shouldn't they apply to your spouse too? Thank you/

As it happens nowadays in the Military and Knights Orders existing in reality, (such as the Order of the Legion of Honor or The Order of the Golden Fleece or the Order of the Garter ...), it would be nice to create such orders also in the game (such as, for example, I say a random name: the "Order of the Flor De Lis" for example) and 3 new honors-traits to be given to participants in wars (as for the trait of the "Warrior of Faith" which in the game is given to all veterans of the crusades).

For example:
- Knight of the Order of the Flor de Lis (to those who participated in 1 successful offensive war)
- Grand Knight of the Order of the Flor de Lis (to those who have participated in at least 3 successful offensive wars)
- Red Cross Knight of the Order of the Flor de Lis (to those who have participated in at least 5 successful offensive wars)

@Mattia von Sigmund Could you rephrase your question? The romance scheme already has a significant malus applied to it (for non-spouses)? Do you want the same for spouses?

As for affairs, I find the claim that queens or princesses did not have pre- or extramarital affairs to be rather unlikely. History is replete with kings and queens having such affairs, and I doubt that their non-ruling spouses would be saints in that regard. I think it is well established that marriages, especially noble marriages, were mainly political and transactional in nature, not romantic, which would make extramarital affairs rather likely.

Another suggestion for realism: if the romance action is took by one of the spouses to the other who is chaste, it should have like, 80% success chance; you know, in such age girls didn't sed to have premartial sex, specially noble ones, and sadly it happens to me often that a 25 years old princess already had a bastard or smth, when in the medieval age there aren't really ANY attested queens/princesses having outside of marriage or premartial relationships
