-The taxiing is a little finnicky, but manageable. It locks in place until the pedals are centred even with full throttle, not sure if it's intended but it's possible to work with, just takes practice.
- The plane is very happy to roll over even with quite gentle rudder inputs. You have to be very delicate.
- An actual bug for sure, the nose wobbles/oscillates aggressively left and right at higher airspeeds, I only noticed it after initial release of ordnance, I didn't notice it beforehand.
- It sometimes wants to roll forward as soon as you get in it, even with engine off.
- When the right gear was damaged, after bringing it to a complete stop, I got out of the aircraft. It then began rolling forward on its own for an unknown reason; it was on perfectly level ground and the engine was off.
It also has trouble taxiing, also with rudder issue
bunch of error sqf messages pop up when the plane gets damaged like in the tail or hull
@Bouncy The "A-1H Skyrider" (sic) is found in NATO > Planes in the Eden editor.
Actual Mk.20 bombsight was in fact a gunsight that was used for bombing as well, which the mod has. The ranging might just not work as I didn't attempt to make the sight's rings correct in this regard. More here: https://www.prc68.com/I/Mk20Mod4Gun-BombSight.shtml
@[EC]HAWK - who is "we" you referred to in your request?
It's important to make one particular thing clear - the addon wasn't made for casual pilots and it needs mastering and analog controllers, it needs people's time sunk into a practicing how to efficiently and safely fly this plane in the game. This was consious and well-though design choice, the downside of it was it created high entry treshold and made the addon less popular.
Last thing - I am very aware that people interest and suggestions are comming from their love to the plane (and/or the addon). I do love it too, I just have feelings sometimes we love it for very different reasons ;)
That, and the other thing I'd like you to see about possibly doing is further support for the SOG DLC's weapons on the pylons and maybe if not that some bigger options for bombs on the pylons, especially if realism isn't a primary concern I think that could be really fun.
Many times, people were offerring help, expanding my work or retexturing it. Those promises never came true with the exception of one dev only, and two testers. I have no trust and belief in arma community, especially modding part for some time now. The childish and demanding attitude among players disappoint me. I started feeling like players belived they can have everything if they'll scream on devs loud enough.
Btw, which members of the modding community with that missing know-how you have in mind?
The true is, those people want to work for themsevles, not for me as I don't need that. And yes, I am ignorant in many fields, no EULA can change that. I'll have to deal with it as every mature person does. Bye.
With autopilot, you won't be able to land smoothly and will crash near the runway. Another chronic problem is that using this mode causes frequent bugs every time you run the game.
My point isn't to argue with you. I wanted to know why, and I had my question answered.
You did open up the license on previous occasions, and you were, as you said, very disappointed. You don't have to explain more. I understand, and I'm sorry you had to see your creations twisted in such a way. I wish this weren't the case, but at least now I understand why.
Is it something to do with the model's original license?
Use it gently, then. It goes well with some practice and/or analog controllers.
No, I won't change the rudder behaviour. The addon wasn't built for casual pilots and its rudder's profile was made purposfully. You may learn more in one of the discussion topic here.
