what exactly does this do???
But with the mod enabled it will use wings immediately as soon as my character's feet leave the ground
The latter forcefully applies a velocity, but the first, under normal conditions, will decrease the general movement speed.
But because Player.runAcceleration is at such a high value within this mod, that movement reduction is nearly nullified.
I'm saying Player.runAcceleration has weird effects on movement. While it *does* increase Run Acceleration, as I said, it also increases overall Movement Speed, reducing the effects of a decreased Player.velocity.X value.
I wouldn't say Player.maxRunSpeed would be a solution, as the Player still sprints when it is lower than 3. The goal of those mods I mentioned, in regard to using Player.velocity.X, is to reduce overall Movement Speed. It would be kind of weird to enter a full sprint when holding the Walk keybind...
What I'm saying is that, because the Acceleration is so high, the Player.velocity.X field doesn't have much of a hindrance on movement when applied in the usual range.
Could you add more configuration to this?
