To avoid revealing the map and spoiling your exploration, use play <ID> to take control of a Fallen Empire, create the hyperlane you need, and then switch back to your original country. They have whole map survey.

@solidspacedisk you can fix it by restarting the game and thenusing the commandon the same star but to another one, the connection you tried in observer mode is blocked until you do another after the restart

can confirm it still works in 4.0.5 and attempting using this in observe mode will make the event forever broken. Use "Intel" cheat to remove fog of war

works fine in 4.0.5; just remember not to use it in observer mode though because it will not work and will keep setting flags without bringing up a dialog window

Very Excellent mod. Having problem selecting Dyson sphere system because it "Got megastructure, expected planet." Otherwise superb.

Works in the latest version, but I believe fleet reinforcements still go through deleted hyper lanes, shouldn't really be a problem tho

I took a save game and reloaded and tried a bunch of various things. at a minimum, fully surveying the solar system seems to be a requirement for connecting / disconnecting things when it does decide to work. Unsure why sometimes it is failing.

This seems to be working intermittently. On some star systems it is working fine, I am connecting/disconnecting systems without issue. On others it seems unresponsive or doesn't work for the entirety of some maps. I am seeing these inconsistencies without changing mod orders and I only have 1 other non hyperlane mod (UI Overhaul).

It does work

1) select a star in one of the two systems you want to either delete or create a hyperlane for
2) enter the command event hyperlane.1000
3) select a star in the other system you want to create or delete
4) enter command again event hyperlane.1000 - this time it'll ask you to either create or delete
5) select the previous system and select a star in there, game will freeze for like a micro second but should work

@Morves. 1. Start the game and decide the two solar systems that you want to connect or separate.
2. Select one of these solar systems in the solar system viewer.
3 Select a star or planet from the viewer to display its info box.
4. Open the Console command window and type "event hyperlane.1000".
5. The Command box should display "Executed #some_number".
7. Close the solar system viewer and select the second solar system

this mod function doesnt work reliably for me. Every couple proper instances then next dozen after the option window wont open and destroys/creates randomly. Most times the event just does nothing.

instead of adding a hyperlane, you add a Wormhole connection

Works wonderfully for Stellaris v3.8.4 at the time of writing, and a much better user-experience than the other command-based hyperlane editor (released back in 2.0 but still works in 3.8.4).

Here, you just need to select a star within a system, type in 'event hyperlane.1000'. Then select the other system's star, open up the console window again, and press the 'up' key to ready the last-entered command.

@DÖÖDLES No, I was able to delete a lane between one unowned system and one AI-owned system. I think you just need to be able to open the system to click the star, so unknown systems won't work but even just unsurveyed still works.

I can create new Hyperlanes, but can't destroy already existing ones.

Thank you for this , a lot more convenient than editing save game. Wolf it is working for latest version, but only works on explored systems (you can load as caravaneers or curators to connect those) and only shows up after selecting a fleet.

I'm using a lot of mods, so take this with a grain of salt, but something strange happens each time I use this.

It's working perfectly fine, but every time I use it my empire's border colors change to light blue-light blue. No idea why. Saving the game and reloading it fixes the color so it's not a huge issue, just seems a strange glitch to have.
