Beyond expectation, i think this mod can run only in electrified rail, but it also can run in unelectrified rail. i always struggle looking for Bi-Mode or diesel multiple units for long distance and this is the answer (beside a japanese diesel multiple units).

It seems like you forgot the narrow 15kV panto for CH (CH has a narrower panto profile, whereas DE/AT and Scandinavia seem to use the same wider panto design) And I don't buy that an italian EMU fitted for international travel would lack the equipment to use the Gotthard route... Maybe it's just the description that seems unclear to me
