Late to the party, but wow this is a pretty tough mini campaign. Got destroyed the first run as Smith, then beat it the second time with Smith and a bird pet. I liked the story twist at the end but i auto-failed the negotiation check at the end so... rip lol

There is a way to save the person you are looking for, although it is not the most straightforward way. Here is a vague hint: You can still figure out bits and pieces of the dialog, even though you don't understand it much. This condition can be cured in a special event titled "Stranger".
