well, that one works as long as no-one wants to go back the way they came. in what i call the optimized cloverleaf i swap the lanes going into the secondary carriageways (using bridges) before merging them.

looks like what i call an improved cloverleaf. improved because it shifts the weaving off the main carriageway and onto those side lanes. but there is a way to eliminate the weaving completely.
