I've been using this since 1.4 released and haven't had any issues with it. Should be fine even though it says 1.3.

I really love this mod. I feel like it was surprisingly well balanced with vanilla (considering the resources and tech level required). I'm very much hoping for a 1.4 update!

Hi there. I will inspect the problem. It's probably about the load order, but sometimes I miss silly stuff. Yeah, I'm a person who writes XML on Windows' own notepad...

There isn't any known incompatibilities. In addition to the fix, I plan on adding a toggle to the homing function. To be honest, the homing function was initially never planned. It adds a special niche, but some people may just want to appreciate the boosts.

Hi Miathea, your mod looks really promising and crafting smart (ranged) weapons seems to be exactly, what my late-game playthrough needs.

I've already craftes a persona core. However, crafting the required "Glitterworld Components" for my weapon doesn`t seem to be possible. ("Glitterworld Fabrication" was researched, of course!)

I guess, the related bill shoud be visible in the blank space?

It's not just the graphics missing, I can't even add the bill to my crafting list.
I don't think, I've overlooked the component somewhere else in the lis, either.

In order to solve the issue, I''ve placed the "Glitterworld component" mod higher in the (admittedly quite extensive) mod list.
Do you have any recconmondations regarding the load order?

Do you know about any further mod incompatibilities? You do not mention any in your mod description. (BTW, I do not run CE)

Essentially, yes. That way it offsets some of the detriment that halberds have in their slow attack speed.

I meant in the sense of gameplay. So it basically reduces enemy dodge chance or especially targets vital places?

Maybe something like: A highly advanced halberd. Contains a subpersona core with intermediate machine learning capabilities for a safe and precise user experience. The blade head is guided to vital targets and with greater force with the assistance of the same smart technology used to guide smart bullets.

It could be a melee weapon that had to be "reloaded" because of [insert propellant technology here] and could even have an EMP charge I guess. Expensive as such a powerful weapon should be would use glitterworld components, subpersona cores, and probably a large amount of plasteel. Or honestly since halberds are slow melee weapons and integrated melee shield like the siege breaker armors have?

Honestly I would just really like a halberd in the Smart Weapon art style.

I've even noticed it when firing through embrasures, if they're caught firing at just the wrong angle every shot fired will be caught by my own defenses well before it reaches the target. That never happens with vanilla projectiles.

Sometimes I notice the projectiles from these weapons seem to have a tendency to be intercepted by obstacles on their path more than regular bullets and charge shots? My squad almost destroyed their SRTS TEK-7 because they were trying to fire through it at some scythers.

Is that a bug, feature, or conflict?

Although, following on from my last point, looking at the ranges side-by-side, it looks more like the Charge SMG is the outlier than the Smart SMG. It has comparable range despite being charge tech, whereas when compared to the assault rifles, it should have much lower range. (that or the vanilla Charge Rifle needs a range buff)

Assault Rifle - 31
Charge Rifle - 26
Smart Rifle - 32

Heavy SMG - 23
Charge SMG - 25
Smart SMG - 24

So feel free to ignore that last part, I'll question the VWE devs about that instead :)

I noticed a couple things while using this mod. The recipes for glitterworld components and subpersona cores don't have an associated skill, so they don't provide any experience. They should at least provide crafting experience like the normal component recipe in vanilla does.

Also, the size of the smart pistol needs some adjustment. With "Enable Oversized Weapons" it's a little better, but the icon in the sidearms list for Simple Sidearms is much too large, and when equipped it looks a lot bigger than other pistols, so looks out of place.

I think the range of the smart SMG being just barely shorter than a charge rifle is maybe a bit harsh, given that it's only 1 tile above a heavy SMG despite being leagues ahead in technology and cost. The Charge SMG as part of Vanilla Weapons Expanded has longer range, and it's well-known that pulse-charge technology typically has less range than conventional firearms.

Ive made a fix for myself by finding the smart pistal PNG and halfen the size, seem to solve the issue for me. not sure if it will cause other problems down the line tho :clementineelf:

Really didnt want to find another gun mod as i like the style of this mod :heart_eyes_yeti:

It's a more performance-friendly alternative of the JecsTools, that's why we've decided to switch to it instead.

Hmm Odd, i did try move them around in the order but that didnt solve it, also when looking at "Enable Oversized Weapons" site they say it does the same as JecsTools wich i already had.

Heyo, never used the Pistols before now and realised they a huge, i saw a post ealier down on the list about getting "Enable Oversized Weapons" i didnt have it but installing it didnt solve the size issue, do i need to turn something on?

The smart pistol is actually bigger than a pawn, it looks kinda ridiculous right now. Not sure if it's a incompatibility or if it's actually scaled incorrectly.
