Tried creating a new save in sandbox and I seem to still get an error before even getting into the map. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

I tried that at some point, but it didn't work. It seems like it might be possible within the modding system, but it is very complicated to set up.

Any chance of adding the enemy faction in for sandbox as well?possibly with that mod that allows them to reserch also.

It should unlock 1 sol after the first ship carrying colonists arrive, i.e. 1 sol after the rest of the tech tree unlocks.
