For some reason this mod makes my game "No Steam Logon"

Maybe I'm missing something in my load order or i gotta just ignore it?

I have an error: despite having this on, the mod says I need this mod in order to work, like wth? :(

I am subscribed to this left4bots still gives me a warning saying this mod needs to be installed and enabled. can anyone help ?

@Sefo For L4L it's exactly that "workaround" for empty server crash. Basically sb_all_bot_game is set/reset by L4L whenever the first human player joins the server / last one disconnects. This should allow the use of that cvar without crashes, as long as there is nothing else setting that cvar. This is why i said to remove it from convars.txt and cfg and make sure that you have no other addon/plugin setting it.

@smilzo I forgot to ask, what is the difference between workshop L4B2/L4L mods from their dev versions?

@smilzo Got it, I'll keep it in mind. For now I use stable L4B2 + L4L on the servers and monitor how everything works. Thanks again!

@Sefo with dev version you had to remove sb_all_bot_game from anywhere (convars.txt, cfg and launch). allow_all_bot_survivor can stay.

P.S.
I tried dev versions of L4B2 + L4L and they didn't help, the server kept crashing instantly on startup and map change. Until I removed allow_all_bot_survivor_team 1 and sb_all_bot_game 1 from L4B2 convars.txt and left sm_cvar sb_all_bot_game 1 + sm_cvar allow_all_bot_survivor_team 1 in my server.cfg. Weird configs conflict.

You were right, it's about those commands: allow_all_bot_survivor_team 1 and sb_all_bot_game 1. They were written in my server.cfg and, apparently, somehow conflicted with the same commands in the L4B2 convars.txt. As soon as I removed these 2 commands from convars.txt - the server stopped crashing.

Whenever I try to spawn a bot via Admin System, the bot fails to spawn and I get this error

[L4L][ERROR] HooksHub.InterceptChat - Exception in func 'L4LROOT': attempt to call 'null'

@Sefo sounds like a known bug of the dedicated server that happens when you set the sb_all_bot_game cvar to 1.
If you want you can try the dev version of the addon you can find on github:

Remove the sb_all_bot_game line from convars.txt and also make sure that no other addon/plugin sets that.

As soon as I install this script together with SourceMod plugin "Restart Empty Server" ( https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=315367 ) - the server starts to crash instantly with the following error (Accelerator): KERNELBASE.dll + 0x14b472

The crash happens when there are no players on the server and the plugin restarts it with a map change.

There are no errors in SourceMod logs. Here are the last lines of the server console before the crash:

Game crashing

it says it's installed but every mod listed says otherwise so. I Installed it again after uninstalling it. And it still doesn't work. >:(

it breaks my viewmodel when using it with custom models

Two I found that cause issues are Spawn L4D1 survivors and 2019 2: Director's Cut (both use VSLib + outdated loading) but there are more that may not explain what they use, especially since 2019 2 didn't specify that it uses scripts or VSLib.

There's some old mods that use either:
- Outdated script loading methods that can cause conflicts with other script mods.
- VSLib which was handled messily and resulted in many conflicts with mods using it from old versions overriding new versions.

It's not really the fault of the 'Left 4' scripts since they work as intended with no other mods active, more so if you already uninstalled them since there's no way they can take effect at all.

But, I'll figure it out.

I really want to blame this addon for making it unable to some players to play this game.

Same here, even I uninstalled L4 Lib, L4 Bots and L4 Fun, it doesn't work...

My game crashed everytime I open a map or campagin with Left 4 lib and Left 4 bots on.

When I turn this mods off my game runs totally normal, any idea or fix?

@HungarianPatriot have you tried disabling the other mods instead?

My game crashed, the console log's last 3 entries were repetitions of these lines:

The message leads me to believe that either this mod or Left4Bots is the culprit. What can I do to fix the issue? This is not the first time it has happened.

I had to remove this mod and Left 4 Bots to save space, but now every time I start a game, it tells me I'm missing Left 4 Lib and to install it and other required addons as if I still have it installed. Is there any way to remove this?

Mine too.
It might be one of "compatibility with other addons stuff" but it's really hard to find the culprit

L4Libs seems to crash my game everytime the entire team dies and it needs to reload the map, seeing this is a specific occurance, any recommendations? I am running a dedicated server if that's relevant
