Thank you for the update! I only ask as I use some l4d1 style animations but with different sounds attached to them such as ones from Romanian Rumble or Cuba. So just reducing the size of conflicting files down to non gunfire sounds would be very nice.

When I revisit this I'll be sure to make it, I wanna do some cleanup and consistency fixes because there's a lot of wild shit wrong with the mod because it was a straight port of the old mods with other fixes. I wanna ensure it's a solid experience with l4d1 animations or not, which it is not particularly good without.

I actually really enjoy this mod purely for the existence of the original holster/reload sounds. Is it possible to split this into a sep version with the gunfire sounds removed?

L4D1/L4D2's HUD Off sound is used when switching weapons. Most audible when switching to the Medkit.

These are valve’s sounds, just fixed for stereo, so I don’t really have any copyright over these even if I wanted to, so go ahead.

This mod was up before Alvar’s mod was deleted, this one supersedes it, and includes (slightly) more features than it of my own doing.

Totally, go for it! I have no issues with this being used for the other sub versions as well, nor do I believe it’d be stealing my work. If anything all the fixes I made would take no more than 10 minutes for someone who actually knows what they’re doing. I’ll shoot you a request so I can add you as a contributor.

Thinking it carefully, I think it would be good that you could add me as a contributor, that way this submission will be also in my workshop page and I could delete my obsolete version and people will get redirected to this fixed version, however I don't want anyone to think I'm stealing EEEN's work, nor trying to discredit your work, since that was never my intention.

On a side note, you may have noticed that I have uploaded other versions apart from the standalone one. Do you mind if I use this version fixes to update the other versions? You will be credited of course

Hmmm, that's weird, I thought they also changed some other things like the bitrate or something, due to some problems with my mod that were reported by other users. It would be helpful to have a list with all the sound changes to make fixing easier. But it doesn't matter anymore since you have already did it. Again, thanks a lot for this :)

On my side, I'm good just with being mentioned in the description, since it is not 100% my work. As you said, all I've done it's just fixing some errors with EEEN's original mod.

I would love to've added you and EEEN as contributors for the original work, but that'd require adding you guys to do it so I'll just keep the credits unless/until the other thing happens.

Glad to hear from ya Alvar! TLS only really added the Pump Shotgun's draw sounds for the Chrome Shotgun and all the weapon sounds from the Uzi over to the Silenced SMG, meaning to replace them you'd have to replace their specific sounds as well instead of just the Pump or Uzi's. They were easy to add, the real kicker was fixing the bone crunch sounds as was reported earlier, but I got it in the end. As far as I can tell the rest of the misc sounds are the same across games because they're mostly just reused Half Life 2 sounds, but if I find more I'll add them. XP

Seems to have a minor sound issue regarding gore, I'm using a mod that adds gore sounds upon headshot and the sounds seem to static near the end.
