how do i use this for the attachments

Mid-string wildcards are not supported.

slot is not friendly with magazine. I have to input each weapon's magazine slot into white list. Does it support adding wildcard in the middle of the string (e.g. arccw_*_mag) in the white list slot?

(Found out that this is ArcCW's hook). ARC9 has no such alternative, only self.CanAttach as a function or whatever it's called.

I've thrown fixing debugging tool idea away, so after hour of searching ArcCW.STATE_CUSTOMIZE alternative I've found ARC9.IN_CUSTOMIZE which works and does not throw an error. I still can put attachments on my gun. I've found "ArcCW_PlayerCanAttach" hook in your addon, but I can't find what use does it have to rewrite it to any ARC9 function. I'm not even sure if it works.

It's possible that ARC9's slot architecture is different from ArcCW's. Simply changing all of the mentions of ArcCW to ARC9 in the code wouldn't work in that case. ARC9 is open source, so I'd recommend starting there.

Hello. I'm trying to port your addon to ARC9 without general lua knowledge except "ply:ChatSay()" and I have a problem with getting your debug tool (show attachments' classname) working. It shows slots (except subslots), but any table I tried to put in there throws nil. I need help. Or do it by yourself, that option would be better.

I can still get it to work with UC. Make sure the setting that enforces the workbench is enabled, at the top of Options > ArcCW > Workbench

it looks like all attachments are still enabled and free for switching/customization even I subscribe this addon. I am using weapons from urban coliation.

It didn't uninstall properly. Make sure it's actually uninstalled in-game, if it's really not there then try running "menu_cleanupgmas" in console at startup.

Understandable enough.
I do hope you'll eventually find interest to do that, since I'm sure a lot of people, myself included, would love to use the workbench with Arc9. You know, to have the best weapon base for roleplay with the best addons for roleplay.

Thanks for writing. Having used ARC9, I do think it's a good idea, but I haven't since found the interest or energy to rewrite the workbench to support it.

Hello Gauss, thank you very much for making this addon. I think it's extremely interesting for roleplay purposes and that it adds a lot of depth to gameplay, making players's attachment choices matter significantly more.

People have already asked you to make an Arc9 version of this addon and back in january you informed us that you would think about it.

I was wondering if you ended up making your decision. Will you make that or not ?

Yeah, that is unfortunately not the case with TFA. As far as I found no other developers have a clue on how this could be done. Though thank you for the reply.

I have no interest in developing for TFA, but whether you can do it or not depends on the intricacies of TFA's attachment system. ArcCW has direct support for adding systems like this, but that may not be true (and likely is not true) for TFA.

Do you think something like this would be possible for TFA base? I know many people don't use TFA anymore, but I've personally tried to take up the project and failed. I'm very much and novice when it comes to modding in Gmod, but so far I haven't found anyone else that knows how this could be done.
