Ok, thiccsmoke & thiccfire mod should no longer cause "issues", if my mod is enabled, it will disable the applying of settings from the setting menu that overrides the same properties this mod alters within teardown to create the "no fire limit" effect.

Am not sure if it is possible but I will try work out a method to disable interaction with the teardown fire amount that my thiccsmoke & thiccfire mod does as well if this mod is present. I just want to add to the discussion on the engine limit that in my testing for my mod I found that there is a hard particle amount limit of about 10000 particles at once. A single fire on its own spawns multiple particles thus, (for example), if you have 1000 fires going, each spawning 10 particles that persist over x amount of time, in total there are 10000 particles, and no more can be spawned until one of the currently visible particles dissapear...

I actually use a lot of weapon mods myself and I have no issue with fire at all since I'm not using mods that literally changes the way the game behaves.

Indeed, there seem to be an engine limit so the mod can only go as far as what the game can do. Thanks for pointing this out.
Mods that can conflict with this one are only ones that may be touching anything related to fire in gameplay (ex:Thick Smoke & Thick Fire mod). Therefore I recommend you to use this mod for "vanilla" gameplay, if you use a lot of gameplay mods then I'm sure mine won't work most of the time.

How the heck is anyone supposed to know if the mods are conflicting if there's no messages or any problem? I have over 12 other gameplay mods that I installed (not weapon or vehicles) that help with the game, am I supposed to test all of them?

Did some testing. The default limit is 200 fires, after that old fires are getting extinguished in a couple of seconds. This mod doesn't make it unlimited, it pushes the limit to 1400 which is quite the difference. Perfectly fine for most cases, though not enough to burn down really huge structures like Acacia Apartments. On the other hand, NASA supercomputer wouldn't be able to handle that.

The problem is the engine limit which starts putting out oldest fires at 1400 simultaneus fires regardless of how high you set the limit. The game default amount is lower so if you test on small buildings like Marina 6 small houses you'll never get even close to 1400 fires. On the other hand if you try a really big building like the Acacia Apartments, you'll reach 1400 after setting a couple of floors ablaze. At the moment there are no mods that can go beyond the 1400 limit. That's something the devs would have to unlock.

@Soméone/ソマ well i have tried running this mod without any other mods active and still found it not to work, it doesnt seem to work solo for me, nor as only mods enabled with fire spread and such my game keeps hard limiting itself to around 1200 max..... if it was working well then i would not write so... instead perhaps you can investigate which mods will not work with this and which will or how to get this mod to work with other fire mods?? there seems to be the issue despite me trying to only load the game with this mod active... which shielded the same results on my system.

Make sure that no other mod is conflicting with my mod. I have the same version as you guys and it's working totally fine for me. Please don't say that it's not working without even making sure that the problem is not coming from YOU

FYI people: i've doing testing and found the culprit. No Fire Limit is NOT COMPATIBLE with the Thick Smoke & Thick Fire mod. Enabling it overrides whatever this mod does to disable the fire limit.

Maybe I don't understand something? On which object will I see the difference?

Does it work on the campaign missions? I tested and it didnt work but i dont know if its on the map i was in or something else

@some guy Hello, I just tested and it is working. Please make sure to test it on a Sandbox level to see if the level you're playing on is not the issue. Then, check the compatibility with other mods you may be using. Thank you !

this dosent work because maybe the mod is only compatible with other versions with teardown but not the latest teardown versions

10/10 mod, huge improvement to the game. Really should be a default option.

Not sure why, but on normal maps this wont work anymore, although it does on modded maps
