Honestly dark center is so much better at night, it’s a shame this isn’t how Valve originally made dead center

in my opinion dark center would of been better to be the official it would of given the L4D2 survivors their first dark eerie tone campaign and would go real well with l4d1’s theme of most of the campaigns being dark.

Terrible campaign, terrible design, the guy down here says lighting placement is good but you can't even the penguins in the mall where they shoot you. Getting burned without any warning signs, no reason for stuff to hurt you when it does.

Penguins hiding in the dark when you can't even see them, flawed pretty badly

The "started during the dark and ended during the day" makes more sense if you think about it.
- The survivors started out during nighttime (1 -2 hours before 12mn)
- Met Zoey, Louis, Francis, and Bill just around midnight (12 - 1 am; similar to the comic).
- Arrived near Whispering Oaks very early in the morning/dawn.
- Short trip (30 minutes or shorter) in the helicopter that landed them in Village en Marais.
- Arrived at the plantation house as the sun rises (6 - 7 am)
- Gets dropped by Virgil at Ducatel not long after (maybe an hour or two).
- Leaves the island just 30 minutes later (judging by the average playtime of the campaign).
- The trip to N'awlins could've taken a day or two, but they arrive at the port in the morning (the sun looks like it was at around 7 - 9 am).
- Leaves the area via helicopter just nearing lunchttime.

Sometimes there are 2 instances of the same SI spawned, other than that is a solid 9 out of the Original Dead Center

to be honest dead center feels nice in the night but something that bugs me about this campaign is that there is little to no fog which means you only have to rely on your flashlight which you can't rely on as it's not very bright and muzzle flashes, i hope someone re-edits this to include fog, it would also fix some visuals like from the first map where you can see where the fire and smoke particles start
