It becomes like this at every turn! Don't you fix the MOD? ?
@four_feet_magic_monkey
I'm having the same vanishing armor bug. Setting the mod near the top of the list doesn't matter: my chars complain they're running naked..
While checking your mod, I found I'm unable to open any of the DDS files. So... stupid question: are your dds supported 'fully' by Ogre or something? As i can't check their format with my current dds viewer: I'm just suggesting that maybe.. maybe.. you may try to set one diffuse to regular dx5 + mipmap just for people to test if those dds are ok or not.. or the models are too heavy.. or I don't know XD
Just an idea. Don't hit me on the head eh...
Please contact me if you need anything else!
I don't really have the patience for in-depth modding, but to anyone willing to spend the time, it shouldn't be too hard as long as you already have this mod.
Take the workshop folder and move it to the Kenshi mods folder, rename accordingly, it should appear in the editor now and you should be able to finagle with its assets. You'd need to take each of the armor sets and add them into a "new mod" section for each one.
If nobody does it by like, february I'll give it a shot myself. But I can't promise it'll work or fix the issue since I have literally 0% modding experience aside from making new game starts for myself.
If they are not working at all for you it might be that there was a file corruption during download.
1- try deleting the mod in your steam folder, then re download it - needs deleting or it will use this data again. Steam only updates the changes in mods, it keeps the original data in a file on your system.
2- try moving the mod to the top of the mod load order list - this seemed to improve disappearing armours for me. rarely happens now
3- try one of my other mods that uses a custom model (preferably a newer one)- if that works it rules out file compatibility issues
Were you planning on adding some fitting boots at some point? Perhaps a retexture of the plated longboots fitting to the steel legion design? Would look dope, Im sure!
Either way, great looking armor!
Can the Mod maker or someone who has actually found the blueprints tell me what vendor in wich city sells them? Cheers.
Might be a good idea to add this infor on the mods page too.
