This is a great mod for us pack rats, I wonder if there is a mod where I can case up gun magazines as well.

It is necessary to update, because the version compatible with Brita's is giving an error because it requires the gun fighter arsenal, but the old version of it is not 2.0, and if both are used, some of Brita's weapons are disabled.

This has probably been reported already, but 5.56x45mm case weighs 6, when 10 boxes of the same ammo weigh only 3.

@Scosoap I think the purpose for the cardboard box, instead of a standard wooden ammunition crate, would be due to this being a zombie apocalypse, and card board boxes are more easily obtained than ammunition crates. Plus, wood would be more useful in use as defences.

Pretty sure an ammo crate could be broken down and used to board up windows. I know I'd do that and dump my ammo in say, a plastic storage box or, if I was forced to, a cardboard box.

I personally have broke down two ammo boxes, in the past, where I stash smaller boxes of ammo at home for firewood. This was back in 2021. We had no power and needed heat. I made a makeshift firepit on the back porch during the Texas Snowmageddon.

Also, the cardboard box model already existed in the game files, I believe. xD

Ammunition case(a little box hold 10 556 rounds etc) usually don't storage in cardboard box in real life, if this box can retexture into wooden crate would be fantastic :D

i went in and fixed the code for the weights of the bullet boxes so that the packaged boxes are not heavier than the unboxed versions. and also standardized the weight savings to 50% (to also fall in line with the mod that touches brita's weapons (Ammunition Box & Case & Brita's Weapon Pack Patch) since i figure a lot of people will be running that mod as well if they are here) if the mod author wants my fixes please get in touch, otherwise i guess i will keep using them on my own game.

@Alec If I use Brita's mod I have to use this mod+Ammunition Box & Case & Brita's Weapon Pack Patch correct? ( or do I have to use simply the patch alone? )

Upon further investigation, it seems that you have a single 9mm box of ammo weighing in at 0.2 and a case of them (10 items) weighing in at 2.0 while a sinble .45 box of ammo weighs in at 1.0 while a case of them weighs in at 3.8. In your AmmunitionMod_items.txt there are two entries for .45Ammo_Ammunition_Case. One has a weight listed of 4.0 and another has a weight listed of 3.8.
It seems like you did not want to reduce the weight of items packed into cases, but had some errors happen in your calculations. Is that correct?

Does this mod reduce the weight of the ammunition in cases when compared to boxes? It seems to for .45 and 5.56 ammo but not anything else. Is this intentional? The only other mod that touches the ammunition in any way is the Icon mod you've also made.

is it possible to disable spawns, and is the mod mid-save compatible?

Could you please reduce the spawn rate of the boxes? Im even using the ridiculously rare mod and im still getting tons of ammo boxes.
Otherwise an extremely good mod

The idea of modification is not bad, but spawn is crazy! 10 and 15 - isn't that exaggerated? In warehouses, guns shops and in the homes of survivors I find (even with a very rare setting) 2-4 boxes of ammunition
