ai nodes are for rebel/combine and vj base npcs. navmesh is for DRGBASE NEXBOTS

AI Nodes when

AI nodes are not required for Garry's mod maps, nor CSS or most multiplayer Source games, they are only required for the singleplayer games where Valve were trying to direct AI, the map has a navmesh which is basically AI nodes but fluid and across the entire map. If there for some reason isn't a navmesh in the map, open the player console and input "nav_generate" (without the quotation marks) and after a bit of time it will generate. There should already be a navmesh though, as other players have confirmed in the comments before. Cheers!

Yeah I try to make sure stuff's got a navmesh, they're as simple as a lil command when running the map so it's a nice thing that goes a long way I feel ^^

Well beyond getting content from other sources, all I can say is in the future consider picking up the other games; they're good not only for Gmod map content, but also for being genuinely great games that are still played (and very fun with friends) to this day.

Within theory yes, but it wouldn't be the same. It would require textures to be changed and models to be swapped out, completely altering the vibe of the map.

Little background source mapping stuff; HL2 (what Gmod is based on) has VERY few actually clean textures, so I opt for CSS and L4D2 things. Within theory I believe it's possible to put content into a map, but it's time consuming and I don't understand the process of packing non-custom content.

A little birdy told me that you could get some game's content (such as CSS) off the internet, but don't tell Gabe I said that.

I might in the future make a lit up / nighttime version, as I really like the design I came up with for the building and have a few ideas. Other than that I may try to find out how to port it to SFM for personal use, though I'd also see if I could find a way to publish it there if I did. Enjoy!
