If I recall the reason this gun either has the 27/28 number on it was because there wasn't enough information telling which number it was. Watch the forgotten weapons video on it, he states the reason for the confusion.

your dice should have the prefix ValveBiped (for example, ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Hand)
I just copied the bones on which the animation worked and parent them with an analog
