The advantage is that Research Tree is a hot borderline unusable mess. It's impossible to find anything there.

I can't see any advantage in using this instead of research tree (continued). Am I missing something? Maybe performance?

So I've just had another freeze without this mod, so my post below can be safely ignored.

I had freezes when scrolling on the research tab. Had to reboot. Tested again, it froze again. I removed this mod and it no longer happened.

I don't have the error log as it didn't drop anything in the log.

I guess this information is to be ignored, unless it's happening to others also.

At some point it stopped working. I have it at the bottom of my mod list and nothing happen. Is it conflict or just i have too many mods ? Someone in comments mentioned about blocks limit , whats that mean ?

Does it work with the vertical scrollbar mod?
When you use this mod, you won't need a vertical scrollbar

I don't want to be rude, but that is not true. it doesn't work with bigger interface. Half of reserch tabs going uder the screen and need to be scrolled. So this mod don't do anything usefull

1. When I have too many mods, not every tab is shown up. Could you make a side list window like in dubs research menu instead of top tab?
2. Not sure what's the reason, seems when I have too many tech in the same column, the techs at the bottom are covered by the edge of the ui. I think adding a vertical scroll bar might solve the problem?

@yoko i seemed to have fixed my issue with that by making the ui resolution smaller, dunno if this helps you now but might be useful for others!

Seams like the "another research tab" might be due too: "Research Tree (Continued)" mod as I also experience the same happening even when that mod says your rmod should be compatible:

having a small problem where if you mod your game a bit too much the main research section has parts covered by the bottom and you cant scroll down to see them

Oh wonderful this solved my problems. I just had to revert back to interface size 1 and then back to 1.25 that I use for everything to align properly. Thank you

Darn.. Well thank you for at least taking a look at it, really wish vanilla already had a better way to handle tons of different research tabs because as it stands it comes to a point where there's so many from different mods it eventually just makes a bunch of them unable to be seen, effectively "removing" them.

@The Lord Pootis Took a look at it and that mod seems to replace the whole the research-tab the same way that this mod does. Maybe if that mod just called this mods window after adding the scroll-list.

made a small patch set to reduce the amount of useless tabs added by mods and split research by tech level instead https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3217216445 (needs testing but I do use it every day)

i understand the reason why some nodes moved to the right side in order to find space, to avoid the 'overlap'', maybe... make an option to make the nodes smaller, in order to make more space verftically.. i dunno if this possible tho

This just elongated my research trees excessively. Sure, it now makes things not overlapping... But the byproduct is having to scroll to the right for things that shouldn't be "organized" as they were fine to begin with.
