The "1.4 version" linked in the comments is a fundamentally different experience because it has an electrical ice maker! That is NOT compatible with a Rimedieval game, so why is it being presented as an "update" to a mod with Rimedieval in the title?

same the fridge is not working for me, i have ice in the fridge and my food is still going bad like as if i had it in a stockpile zone, someone help!

even when the fuel is full, the food is still registering as not refrigerated and is dying as fast as it would just laying on the ground in room temperature. what am i doing wrong?

To those asking for updates, This mod *DOES* work on 1.4. It throws an error about missing a definition, and the in-game Ice Walls have a broken description when you click on them, but otherwise it functions exactly as intended.

Ice cubes will still slowly melt but cool rooms off, and the ice walls slowly degrade but drastically help with cooling rooms. It appears that the temperature can't be lowered past 34F (1C) with the ice, but it's more than enough to keep your store rooms nice and refrigerated in hot environments!

@Arutha yes it have plans to be included in MO as soon as Lala have enough time. No we can`t update it cause lead coder busy with RImedieval and other commissions

That makes me super happy to hear. The idea for this mod was really simple, yet brilliant. I really appreciate it and I thank you for all the work you did to implement it into the game. The medieval fridge is too powerful as a generic storage box, please add some kind of weight restrictions to it

@Ogam "Ice blocks can be dug from ice terrain"... but how?!
I can't find any form of "dig" or tool to dig with (like the saw we see in the picture above).
I have a frozen fresh water lake, but I can't do anything with it as far as I can see, been looking in Orders, Production, Misc, Temperature and other menu options.
I would suggest giving a clear example or instructions on how to cut the ice in a body of frozen water.
This seems like more or less an essential mod for a medieval playthrough, but without being able to cut a lot of ice during winter months, there is only the cellars left to get ice from.

@Zayceed fix your ass, UI Expanded said that it can be incompatible with many mods so you decide what to keep - this one or UI

How do you dig ice? Is there supposed to be an order or a zone you can use, or is the cellar the only way to get ice? I tried uninstalling & reinstalling the mod, but still no order/zone appeared. Turning on dev & god mode didn't help either, so it's not stuck behind a research.

@Ogam Only if you are using the GitHub version of the MO mod. The Steam version does not have this added as yet.

I finally found the object. It's in production and it's called Wooden Cellar. No idea why it's not searchable.

I can't for the life of me find the cellar build button. I turned on God mode and still can't see it. I've seen a few others in this thread post the same issue. Has any common issue been found? Or is it just dependent on mods?
