It would be great if you talked to the creator of the Better Map Textures (3.0) mod and, with his permission, updated the mod for the current version of the game, and uploaded the mod to the steam workshop.

this mod makes the court language map mode non-existent.

Meliōra (short a) is Latin for the adjective "better" (neuter plural).

Meliōrā (long a) is Late Latin for "improve!" (imperative mood).

isn't compatible with Asia expansion mod.

To change the opacity of the realms go the the Crusader Kings III folder, then go into game >gfx >map >map_modes and open the map_modes.txt file.

To change borders locate: # Hollow Near at line 9 to 19

To change opacity locate:
# Filled Near at line 34 to 44
# Filled Mid at line 46 to 56
# Filled Far at line 58 to 68
# Filled Pre Flat Map at line 70 to 80
These are all near the top in the file.

Change the text on these as you prefer or just copy the text from the original game file and replace these to get the same opacity as in the original game.

Really good look, I especially like the water. But personally I don't enjoy the opacity of realms as borders are less clear. Could you kindly guide me where to edit in the mod files to remove this effect?

I get black boxes all over the map, its okay when its zoomed out to the paper map but zoomed in and black everywhere

Not sure if royal court update is fully done yet, but I think zooming past paper map breaks something still

I really like what you did with the water, however the land map changes for me personally are uncomfortable...Do you have plans on releasing the water mod as a separate one?

Glad you ended up enjoying it! I lowered the water reflections drastically for preference, as I felt it was very noisy and repetitive.

Brilliant! But the dark of that water makes my thalassaphobia act up! Also curious if you took the water reflections off for performance or just preference?

This and "The Witcher" Font make it look a lot like CK2 but reimagined in a good way. I love it!
