does this affect the gameplay in anyway, or just animation speed and resist popups and such

My mod doesn't incorporate any mods. It is very easy to make a mod that changes the speed of the game as you only need to change a few numbers in a few files, I just inspected some other mods and how I felt about the changes they made and made this mod from scratch after having an idea of how fast the game should be for my taste. As I haven't played DD for a while now I don't remember exactly what aspects of the game this mod affects unfortunately and I don't know what to change to make it affect those aspects. You can play around with the mod files to make it suit your taste better if you wish so, it is not hard at all.

what mods does it incorporate? iv been using it in tangent with perfect faster dungeon as it doesnt speed up getting hit by traps, forced curios interaction and getting virtue checked outside of combat

What mods are you using? Try using only a single mod at a time from your list. I can safely use my mod without encountering crashes. If no single mod causes a crash it is harder to detect the cause of the problem but we can proceed from there once you have tried the mods individually.

I'm almost sure this mod is crashing the game after returning to the hamlet.

Glad you liked it. I am trying to mod slay the spire now but it is significantly harder to mod for me since I don't have any Java coding skills or knowledge but we will see. Maybe I will publish a slay the spire mod next.

I added curio speed up, speeding all curio interactions by 2/3 of the previous speed so it should take only 3/5 of the time it did before (if it works, that is).

Edit: It turns out transition speed was in another file that I had been looking over so I did those but I will have to wait for the curio interactions for someone knowledgeable to lend me a hand. Sorry about that.

Sorry I haven't been able to comment for a long time. I still haven't been able to find how to speed up curio search and room transitions... I will ask some people who might know better
