Hey does this work on a custom follower as long as every default item they have is from vanilla skyrim?

Do followers still have infinite ammo?

Okay so just to be clear, when not following me and after ive removed the armor from their inventory, they wont have the default armor but will they equip whatever armor I gave them?

@khanlin4: Yes, that's supposed to happen. However, that's not actual armour - it's a set of clothing that looks like the default armour. Give her something else to equip and it should go on and replace the armour.

@TheDestroyer: Sorry, but there's a quirk in the coding that means followers can't equip anything from their inventories (and auto-equip their default outfit) whilst not actively following you. So the only way to remove all clothes would be to have everyone walk around naked before you recruit them. Which was a little awkward, all things considered. :P

YES! This is an awesome mod! I have Lydia equipped with all Glass armor, but she wouldn't equip the boots or gloves...Stupid

@Dakasmash: See my reply to Reagan for the clothing issue, but the followers refusing to leave is not, as far as I know, a consequence of this mod. It's a problem I've encountered quite frequently in my own game (before I made this mod), though I'm not entirely sure what causes it. If you have any multiple follower mods, they tend to get confused over which follower to dismiss, so that could be the issue. If not, I don't really have a solution - I usually just delete them and spawn a new version via the console. Either way, I can't trace it back to this mod - the only thing I've touched is their inventories, and nothing that would affect behaviour.


@Laz0r$hir: See my other responses, though I've no idea why that would be happening if you've got no other mods installed. I've have a look at the CK again over the next week and see if I can't get it working.

@Ronald Reagan: Everyone is in mining outfits right now because (for whatever reason) they were turning up naked when I removed their default inventory entirely, so I've just given them the cheapest outfits possible so any new items should supplant them. This is just a placeholder until I work out why they're not equipping the items in their inventory straight away. Thanks for your patience.

I do enjoy having the weapons and armor I give my followers equiped. However, all potential followers now wear mining outfits. To fix this, I have followers trade with me. They put on their default armor after I take something or give them something. It's annoying, however, to see Mjoll the Lioness and half the companions walk around in mining gear when they all have armor they could be wearing. Even after a trade, sometimes they still revert back to the mining clothes (which I never see in inventory, or I'd take those away to prevent follwers from wearing them.) Thanks for reading my comment. I hope this can be address soon.

and could you make it where the follower are not in cloth even when there not my follower yet

Slavka13748, you were right, it was actually a seperate mod I installed that was causing the problem. Thanks for your help

@AnarchyKJ: I'm afraid that's nothing to do with my mod, as all I did was change followers' default inventories - I haven't touched anything that might affect the player's skills. Please check any other mods you might have downloaded recently.

@Vanyr: Do you have any other mods that change followers' inventories? If so, you might need to do some re-shuffling of your load order to make it work. If not, could you please give me some more details on what's not working - followers equipping given items, which followers are affected, if their former default armour is present in their inventories when trading with them, etc.? I'll do my best to troubleshoot.

It worked, but once I downloaded this mod my one-handed skill went from 80 to 50, please fix this
