Wrote a mod, it does not replace the entire game file and allows you to adjust the speed of the hood without leaving the game and even during the game

Has game settings, fully compatible with any mods, does not cause errors and do not replace the entire file as does the author's mod, I actively support and develop the mod

Unfortunately the author of this mod has not contacted and ignored the proposal to update and correct his mod, which initially has a wrong approach! Because the whole game file was replaced to change only one digit.

I decided to backup my save and subscribed to this to do some testing for you. I'm on build 42.3.1 and tested both vanilla and heavily modded.

The mod works perfectly fine, and gives absolutely no errors with multiple vehicles that I experimented with. So I have no idea what the others are reporting down below.

So guys, when you think a mod is broken, report the ERROR that you get, or describe what actually happens instead of claiming it's "fully broken". You most likely have mod conflicts.

This mod breaks checking car mechanics on B42.
Even after removing it the problem persists, finishing the hood opening just makes the hood soudn and displays an error message, no mechanics menu.

@jaybast oh it's the same interaction speed. I don't get why it does that. When you first open the hood it takes few seconds, and for no reason I don't press E and it closes the hood if I close the mechanics menu. But if I walk away and and the menu disappears, I come back press v, access the mechanics menu, and the hood is open but it does the few second interaction anyway.

Panzer...i think the hood stays open in vanilla..you just have to access it through the radial menue near your car cause pressin e again will close it...i dont have enough play time to know for sure

Is there any option to slow the action down a bit? If a car has animations, the hood will stay open, even when closing it.

I've had this mod since it was released and it works great. I was challenged about if it was cheaty, and I couldn't help but snap back about how stupid it would be if it took 20 minutes irl to open a goddamn hood. This mod isn't just convenient, it's immersive af lol.
