It's a left-handed weapon which is already weird, but the hitboxes on this model are super broken.

maya only for modeling \ 3dsmax for compiling & skinning & export smd \ blender to open xps,asci...etc files that require blender to then import in maya or 3dsmax.
Substance painter for texturing
Zbrush for topology

@bigbadpikachu, well if i would have to learn a 3d program, i think the best bet would be a video pack to learn from a pro , there is a lot of teaching videos that cover different 3d programs.

I recommend you to take blender first and search for FREE tutorials all over internet and youtube.
There is a lot of tutorials you follow step by step.
Once you feel confident about 1 3d program , every other one , let say Maya , 3dsmax ..etc are the same but with a different shape.

3D programs are expensive, do not buy it when starting to learn.

Also, there is some hmm.... "alternative way" to get paid professional tutorial videos (1 pack of 50videos for exemple) that explain everything .

How difficult is it to make good looking models? I've been thinking about making models for years now, but never knew who to ask.
