Zach here, Update on the little HO guy.
His motor is currently working, I have both the rubber bands removed at the moment due to them being worn out, should have new ones within a month

To be fair they weren't unique - rubber-band drives were a somewhat common early HO feature before driveshafts were perfected; i think the Hustler just kept it more than most.

Anyway, i'm extremely excited and happy to see this guy!!!
