Once I realized how to use this minimap, I am very content and happy! Although part of me still wants a UI border around the map. But that's just me.

I'd love to actually have a minimap, and i'm happy there is one here. Sadly though, i don't feel like installing it after reading all of the known issues.

Dogshit, when mini map is on you can't press escape. when mini map is installed, regardless of toggled on or off, you can't use the actual large map. These issues are huge to me, good mod but no thanks.

Out of all mods I have installed this one is really good, issue is after a while there is this annoying sound that keeps happening and the only way to fix it is switching worlds.

box menus / market place / store aswell it seems basicly any menu that would be in the center of the screen while minimap is showing as if the basic map is open

since the last update *oct 8th* if the minimap is open and you go into the world atlas the center of the screen doesnt work as if the base game map is open

For all those struggling to configure the settings: Make sure you have minimap.cfg in your AppData/Roaming/Trove/ModCfgs folder. Specifically the one that comes with Mod Settings - Companion.



Using Steam Workshop only installs the .tmod as far as I know. Which will allow the mod to work but if there's no configuration file in place the settings have no where to save to, thus returning to default upon any change.

this is probably already on the list of stuff to think about but any way to unbind controller buttons so i can have this map and my controller working at the same time? also would like some way to make the player icon bigger but i see that was mentioned earlier

Can you adjust the opacity of the map to 100%? It is not comfortable to use the transparent map. I hope you can make a version with 100% opacity

@Le bô jeu, all mods use override folders.

As for the texture, yes just for the arrow you can increase it to fill out the 64x64 pixels that is the max for the sprite .dds file (game does not load in anything for the arrow past the 64x64 border as then there is a new texture in that .dds file).

Also this would affect the normal map which i have tried to keep as normal as possible.

I do agree for the minimap it would be nicer if the arrow was bigger, but only way i found to make that work would break the normal map.

Maybe you can bypass that with the "override" folder.

I've searched to create UI mod, and that folder allow you to replace texture. So if your map is a "texture", you can maybe enlarge something with that. (.swf file wich is easy to decompile and edit)

For the moment, the fact that you can't open the main menu don't bother me, i understand that this mod is under dev', so no problem for that. But yeah, i always need to check North, E, WE, S, for locating myself when speed-farming.

@Equinox, the way i did the initial concept broke the original map, but kept the ratios correct so the icons and such were the correct size, but to make it simpler and not break the original map the workaround was just to scale down the texture instead.

That does not say there isn't a way maybe in the future but for now there is no way that i can think of that would not break the original map.

The main issue here is that the map is a "texture" so the arrow and player icons are just drawn onto an image that we get to display so we cant adjust the scale of that image without making it tiny.

its because it counts as the map up so it will not let you do throws things because its thinking it using the map. Also mods are for every one it depend on how you us it the exsperons you git because it counts as a map it clashes with to of the most commendably used achenes so there for is not a 100% mini map but I love the idea of it and what to see u improve this idea so I will what and see ware you go with it and see if you can get around this problem

@Billie Buscemi, not much we can do to fix that due to controller's using L/R to scroll/zoom on UI elements when they are open, and since this works by opening the map on every frame it captures inputs (and this is nothing we can edit sadly).

You would have to play with mouse and keyboard.
