Hello! Would it be possible to set the skill level in sandbox setting to be able to rebuild?

I feel like level 5 is too easy to be able to rebuild the engines, is there any way I could change this? There's no settings that come up for it as admin.

It’s not a direct replacement for this one – in fact, it involves more in-game grind to gather all the required materials. But if this mod ever gets updated, you’ll have the freedom to choose whichever version fits your playstyle best.

For anyone who wants this to work for b42, go to the EER_ISVehicleMechanics_AddContextMenu.lua file and on lines 81 and 88 change "InventoryItemFactory.CreateItem" to "ScriptManager.instance:getItem"

Everyone: Yes what I propose is a cheat. Yes it requires launching in debug. But you can use debug mode to right click on motor when in vehicle menu and select "repair part" it will raise the condition to 100 as well as quality. Its all we have right now. I hope this helps.

@PipMagnet mods now have versioning. You can have 2 diffrent builds under same download. Just update folder structure

@Beornvig - My intention is that for any of my mods that require updates for B42 that would break B41 functionality I will upload the B42 version as a new workshop item. So this mod, and all of my existing B41 mods will remain B41 compatible.

Is this being updated for B42? I'm actually hoping not so we can safely add it to a new B41 MP server :)

Doesn't really work if you have a ton of other mods and even when it does work, any damage to the engine resets it back to original quality value.

Hi, we are using this mod on our Roleplay-Server "FallenLands" and I would like to ask if it would be ok to add it to our Modpack, of course with full credits given?

i used this a few days/ a week ago, it worked just fine for both of the engines i rebuilt.

Not sure if it still works. MechLvl 7, Repairing an Engine brings just 1%

this does not work for me, i rebuild an engine, and then a few minutes later, my engine's quality drops back down to 70.

i have rebuilt the same engine twice.

What is the current status of this mod? Does it work and actually give you the maximum horsepower a vehicle is supposed to have? If not, what is a good alternative to it?

So you can "Rebuild" the engine, and it'll stop it from having a false start but it doesn't actually change the horsepower at all, at least in MP.

Apparently it has stopped working for me, I appreciate it if someone can confirm if it works or it's just my problem, regards

Quick heads up, the engine quality seems to reset to its default value if the engine loses any amount of condition. I rebuilt the engine on my Masterton Horizon and the quality increased to 100, but after it took a dunt and dropped to 96% condition, the engine quality dropped back to 42. Would be nice to see a fix for this, since its a great mod otherwise!

@ΔinzØoałGoωn it's not making engine repair efficient it gives you ability to make engine quality higher.

Is it possible to change the level requirement?
Would love to have a version where the level requirement is 10, instead of 5.

not working for me rn, tested only on multiplayer 1 engine part gives only 1%, have not tested the 90% rebuild

Any configuration options for this? Mod addresses the big problem of engines being quality locked at spawn but getting engine parts and the repair rates still suck. 1 part should be repairing like 3%-12% depending on skill level. Often there's not enough cars in a whole town to restore one junker.
