1: the problem isn't that the os is fake, the problem is that it's buggy as crap.

2: i have been trying to find a way TO make my own stuff, i would gladly make models if i could ever find a proper tutorial of how the heck to compile everything correctly cause Garry's Mod made such a round about way of doing things instead of just allowing OBJ files like everything else would.

3: for your "gmod won't let you make a real os" excuse, there's a mod that literally lets you access youtube and afew other websites lol try downloading media player for proof

oh and one last thing there is an emergency menu escape for the type of guis that cover the screen and prevent you from accessing the main menu just hold down tab and then press the end button and it should kick you to the main menu and unload the level.

now you don't have to press alt f4

@jeffmc123101 do you want to make all the custom models (and prove that you yourself are not lazy and that you have a better spendable income than me) if not stop complying and be grateful that I at least made custom textures because all the textures are custom apart from the ones on most of the models.

also as I stated it is an emulation of OS NOT a real one and gmod won't let you do that ok.

1: "i am not paying for autodesk and finding the really dated tools needed to make custom trees" in other words you're too lazy to do that and just want us to spend a useless bit of money instead, also 57% of people on steam have HL2 and some other games mostly cause tons of people won't stop being lazy making them requirements

2: don't claim that it has an actual os if it doesn't AND there's still the issue that it traps you in it and you can't even go through the files lol (and when i say trap i mean like it doesn't even let you pause the game to reload the map or anything like that and it forces you to alt+f4 just to get out of it)

secondly of course its not a real OS (gmod wont let you do that) but it is an emulation of one with folder systems and all and it was made to be retro and clunky (to give that nostalgia feeling) not %100 usable

the map computers that are lit up btw DON'T run an actual os, it runs a fake os that really isn't even usable it just traps you in the menu, even pausing the game to leave just won't even show the pause menu, screw this map lol

i'm getting tired of seeing these mods that are just like "hey, you need to get extra games to play this cause i'm too lazy to make my own custom stuff" even if you don't use custom textures you could at least like.... not use textures that require purchasing an entirely different game that will most likely never be played lol

I will also say I was thinking about makeing a backrooms map with this but everone and there grandmum has already done that at this point

@CombustibleLemon the way it works is that the room loops in on it self so you technically never leave the same room but as it loops you around it loads different content for that room and unloads any changes that were made.

and this dose makes it lag but it shouldn't lag any more than it has too and it also never has to find space for stuff.

You should do some nester shit and, like, make the rooms not unload upon leaving them. This will lag a lot (eventually) and you also have to make it detect where there's space to make a room i guess but.. i mean, you made this. how hard can it be?

also, I understand if you don't want to do this to infoffices, but you should make another map with this idea

Recently I decided to replay this map, (still haven't found a exit but ill keep trying). After a while I decided to launch up a different map but somehow a portal opened and brought me back to the infoffice. If that was something intentional I just wanted to come back here and say that's very awesome and cool and just wanted to thank you for such a interesting experience.

@99 NANOBOTS you will see a new line of text below "Please wait loading spawn office details" on the loading spawn office screen saying "You will soon be disconnected due to the map being unable to run in multiplayer." then in a while you will be disconnected.
