That's what I did in the original version made in Portal 2, and the layers were connected with world portals.

I don't have regular access to world portals in the HL2 engine, and I wanted transit through the map in this remake to all be a continuous experience with no required teleports; the only teleports left are found in spots related to SCP-106. (This even applies with the elevators; in the Portal 2 version, they teleported you, while in this remake they move through actual physical euclidian space)

i know a way you might be able to connect atleast 2 of the maps together: put the maps ontop of eachother maybe that will help

Folks will tell you that the Source Engine map size limit is surprisingly small--and that checks out. When I was remaking this map for Gmod, I initially tried to have everything under the same map file, like the original version, only for it to not work--I was forced to split it apart by engine limitations. I was surprised too. It's just a rule I have to follow under, else my maps will not work. [2/2]

Source Engine maps have an internal filesize limit. For shorthand, I tend to call it the "map budget"; if you exceed the "budget", the map will break and refuse to compile until you remove enough stuff to fit back within the budget. (This is the same reason that my New Donk map is missing the two buildings in the back corners of the city)

The original version of this map, built in Portal 2, only worked because of the ability for me to use world portals to link rooms non-euclidian-ly, and probably something to do with Portal 2's branch of Source being newer, being a product of 2011 while Half-Life 2 and its episodes span from 2004-2007. And, a full version "using the smaller versions"? I'm not sure what you mean. The full actual SCP game experience? No can do. Having all of the sections in one map file? Literally impossible, they can no longer fit in the same file in HL2 Source.

Engineers said the scp-999 were too adorable to experiment on. Tested on ‘em anyway. Ground ‘em up, mixed em into a gel. And guess what? Ground up scp-999 gel is pure poison. I am deathly ill. Still, it turns out they’re a great portal conductor.

Wow, that is pretty impressive! If I'd attempted to do that, I'm pretty sure I'd have gone a bit batty somewhere along the line. I'm impressed with how consistent you were on the relative elevation of several of the rooms as well, like how the second story of the office past 096's chamber is technically on a higher floor. And how you put both versions of the Maintenance Tunnels on the same floor.

A+ for effort. I think the only time I've done anything like that was sketching out the layout of my old map series "re:Escape from Aperture" on a whim, and I didn't even complete that. Cheated in a few parts to connect locations better.

Thought I point this out: A while ago, back in June, I made an Ocarina of Time-styled map with Paint.NET of the entire facility, even combining all three sectors into one singular massive map.
Including the secret, seemingly non-existent, map/sector

cave johnson here, we currently started working with the SCP foundation, we only started working with them because we thought they have advanced technology. Turns out they just work with some weird looking creatures, or as they mention as SCPs. Maybe they will help, i don't know. Only one way to find out.
